Nicking good nicknames (LOLPUN) is hard in a 10 year old single shard game. You could always contact active nameholders or ask around for good ones, as character sales are permitted.

The ultimate names like Eve are probably worth thousands of RL cash if they are player reserved.

Jeff is a nice name, don't change it.

There is a town in Wales called "Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwyll-llantysiliogogogoch"
Jeff is like super easy compared to this.

Hi OP, while you dislike your in game name remember that people in game dont care and they dont pay atention on this while you socialise with other, personaly im neutral to your name and nothing wrong with it.

EvE isn't game, its style of living.

You think you have problems with folk unable to pronounce your name?

Most folk get around it by calling me Jo, Uncle Jo or Stalin.

Best is when folk tell me that my name is that of a of a mass murderer.

Wiki is a mind expanding internet thingy.

This always makes me smile, so I tell folk I chose the name randomly.

Usually sets their mind at ease.

There are names in EVE that sound much more stupid than yours, look at mine^^. A friend told a policeman his name is "Nick Tamer" (!!!), but the policeman couldn't understand french and he got away with that. Jeff is brilliant btw :)

But James if you were to change your name how would I keep track of your goon guff on the forums?

I am far too lazy (nor should I have to) to check someones history in case they may be someone with a new name worth following, or avoiding.

Folk should live with their name, biomass or buy a new character with a name they like.

According to the EVE Online Naming Policy section 3. Violations part a. :Only character names that are deemed as inappropriate are eligible for a possible name change. Names will not be changed for any other reason.

As there is not much chance you can ever convince a GM that your name is inappropriate, I can only advice you to not even try.

Besides that, Notting wrong with your name. I know plenty of people that have utterly unpronounceable names in any language. Most of them on purpose...Blink
