Ya know, if the guy in the Kronos had vamps and cap booster, couple of curses might not be enough. Especially when he switches over to Null ammo and starts raping the curses.

I don't understand why people automiatically think a Marauder = carebear.

So mechanics question...
Can you light a cyno while in bastion? After reading this thread I feel like I'm missing out on a lulz machine.

You can't really understand Omega through his Argentinian accent. I just nod my head and say "mhmm" while shooting my target of choice.

I wear my goggles at night.

Any spelling/grammatical errors come complimentary with my typing on a phone

5 guys fail to gank or even hold a Marauder and you call him a carebear?

That's pretty hilarious.

What makes you think kronos=carebear

More like kronos=really expensive PvP ship

All marauders are the best PvP subcaps in the game. Only the golem has questionable PvP uses, but its still better then everything else except the other marauders. Only faction/pirate BS are close. Bastion is just god mode for subcap warfare.

In order of PvP Effectiveness Kronos>Palladin>Vagur>Golem

You have to nuet them and bring friends in well tanked bc/bs to take down a PvP fitted marauder(logi a must unless you don't mind losing a few friends in the process). Marauder hit like mac trucks and have insane tanking ability so expect cruisers to get one-shot along with any frigs that don't fly fast and close to the marauder. I mean scrap the paint job close, not 5-10km which is prime your going to need a new ship range. Sheer number work as well, but it does with anything. Expect them to have 400-500k ehp, maybe more(pvp fitted) less if really PvE fitted(200-250k ehp)

No, not at all. marauderts are not very powerful if youare prepared for them,. They are incapable of repositioning and that is far more detrimental than what the suepr tank brings.

Marauders are just a type of ship that you will not kill solo. THey do not even hit hard, several if not most t1 battleships hit harder.

You don't give adaquate weight to the drawbacks of a Bastion fitted marauder operating outside of highsec. Most players will see a juicy target like a marauder, and bring lots of backup. But to outperform even a regular battleship, you need to enter bastion, locking on on field for the next minute. Makes it really easy to bait you. From just warping a fleet in from the next system over, to blops drops, your very vulnerable. See how well your marauder does under 10-20 heavy neuts from a 10man Blops gang... Which brings us to the second problem, they just don't scale well into fleets. Once you get to a fleet size with a few logi, your remote rep tank starts to surpass the practical tank of a marauder, without requiring you to lock yourself on field, or spend so much on a T2 BS.

Yes, they are solid solo pwn mobiles if you don't get a proper fleet dropped on you, but that is hardly the only consideration in deciding what the "Best" PVP subcap is.

You just got served by an 800m solo BS because your gang aren't equipped (mentally or physically) to deal with a pvp situation, then you suggest he's a carebear.

Well I will suggest much less subtly, that you indeed are a moron.

quoted for truth. I love it when the "carebear"-shrieking monkeys get **** on.

That being said, pve Marauders will usually drop like flies under minimal to average neut pressure, they are usually minimally tanked for their specific pve use (L4 missions).

I admit I have yet to encounter or see a pvp one in action, but then haven't been very active lately either...

Didn't say they where the hardest hitting, but they are close. Several Navy and Pirate BS hit harder(Nightmare comes to mind). They dominate the key part of PvP Survivability. If the other guy doesn't get thru your tank and your blowing thru there's=you win

1. Like you did with the kronos? - how do u expect to kite something that can shoot 50 -70 km away and mjd to you if you go further?

2. the vargur has 1150m3 of cargobay space thats a lot of navy cap boosters. Even with some cargobay taken up by ammo. You'll be waiting a while.

i guess if ur kiting is successful the vargur can also just disengage, mjd back to the gate and jump.
