I have a cat called Loki (named after the god not the ship).
He will investigate anything and pounce on anything.
Amongst his exploits are shoving a live adult pidgeon behind a radiator and letting a live rat loose in the house and then failing to recapture it.
He would blind jump any gate just for the thrill of finding out what was on the other side.
He most certainly awoxes my other cats just for lolz.
Most days he kills multiple pinecones.
I named him as a kitten for his love of trouble, humour and general joie de vive.
i think he is a fairly bright cat but the concept of right and wrong as well as the concept of allowed /forbidden are not things he is willing to recognise.
ty for all the likes you gave people but don't disparage cats as they are awesome.

I too... jump blindly through gates all the time, even ones I know are likely to be gate camped. It's too tedious to "scout" with an alt when you're doing exploration. Or just traveling.

Besides, if you know how to use the information the map provides, you lower your chances some. Not completely, but if you see there are a bunch of ship kills, pod kills, and plenty of people active in the systems you're jumping to within the past 30 minutes, should give you a clue there are possible active gate camps.

Just make sure you always fit a MWD so that you can crash the gate. Of course if you're slow and/or bad at approaching the gate they might have an instalocking Rapier/'Razu and you're ******.
I WILL agree with you in one scenario though. If i was bringing a 300+ mil pvp ship through lowsec, i would be a scrub NOT TO use a scout. But if you're just flying around in a 10-30 mil frig in FW lowsec i seriously couldn't care less if i get blapped on a gate, should i fail to crash it.
I might add lastly though, if you're comfortable multiboxing and do so daily, then i don't see why not. It's just a lot of :effort:

Basicly this. You have all the intel you need from the game itself. Obviously it is not real time but it's close enough. I've managed to navigate null and low quite succesfully with the map tools alone, really the only truly dangerous parts of null are the entry gates to null... Which you can nowadays avoid with wormholes.
You totally can play this game solo if you really want to, but I'd rather make some friends instead of alt accounts.

My cat is hilariously stupid and a source of constant entertainment. But tbf, that's a nice marketing push to the character sales forums. +1. Everyone needs multiple alts. To scout their, uh, pods.

Good things there aren't any ships that can warp while cloaked, or blind jumping would actually be feasible, right?
