Sp CCP, how is that Marauder as a PvP ship concept working out?

All numbers are up, but the earth is still flat.

This would be a pain in the ass to do. Furthermore, it wouldn't even be worth doing since you would probably want to look only at marauder-capable pilots and not normalize according to pilots who are new or are alts.

We wanted to ensure that the ship had viable uses appropriate to its cost and stature in both PVE and PVP (where it was mostly lacking in PVP before Rubicon). This has been a smashing success so far.

Also since I know you'd be interested Disndale, 12% more highsec Incursion dungeons have been completed per day since Rubicon compared to the 12 weeks before Rubicon so we managed to do it all while making highsec Incursions more popular, not less.

And where has this PvP damage been done?
On what type of objects? Perhaps high sec PoCo's, which is a one-off, if that is the case.
I would like to see a breakdown on what they shot at.
Clearly, you have the details available within minutes.

And as for a 12% increase in high sec inc's being completed, that is also a meaningless number.
There could be half a dozen factors for that.
The fact is that Paladin's and Kronos' were trashed for incursions.

You sir think your 'facts' and your 'logic' and 'empirical evidence' mean anything here in the alternate dimension called 'General Discussion'?

I scoff in the general direction of Icleand. I went to public school in America so someone please tell me what direction that is, would not like to mis-scoff at this moment.

If you compare the 6 weeks after Rubicon to the 12 weeks before Rubicon (running the numbers comparing to the 6 or 18 weeks before Rubicon give pretty much exactly the same results since Marauder use was very stable before Rubicon):

Both total PVP damage dealt by Marauders and the number of unique characters getting on a killmail with a Marauder per day are up by about 180% (almost 3x the old rates). Over the same time period the number of Marauders exploding has increased by about 160%.

Usage in PVE appears to have increased over that same period by closer to 60%.

It's still early, but I'm quite happy with these numbers and they fit within the (admittedly wide) range we expected at this point.
All Marauder activity is up across the board, with the majority still being PVE as one would expect with such an expensive ship. The increases on a percentage basis have been much higher for PVP activity since the changes have opened up PVP opportunities that are dramatically more desirable than the class enjoyed before Rubicon. PVE with Marauders is great, but it was also pretty great before so the increases are more modest.

Might be interesting to revisit those PVE usage numbers in a few weeks, see if they drop off as people like myself who tried the new marauders found the exact same old level 4 missions and soon got board of them (again).

Since activity numbers are a more important trade secret these numbers are not normalized, but I can safely tell you that the Marauder numbers in both PVE and PVP are still way up when normalized for logon minutes.

Here's some more fun stats I can safely give. If you sort ships by the number of times they appear on killmails since Rubicon (so if two Vargurs are on the same mail it counts as 2 and the same ship can count multiple times if it appears on multiple mails in the period), here are what ships the Marauders place between (the Marauders are in no particular order):

Bellicose
Golem
Curse

Sin
Kronos
Scorpion

Tempest Fleet Issue
Vargur
Apocalypse

Broadsword
Paladin
Griffin

My bet is that the numbers will stay the same and be higher, because everyone isn't you and many don't run missions for 'fun' but rather for isk and standings to do other things.

The Sisters of EVE agents (and to a lesser extent, the High Sec thukker agents) have been popular for YEARS and now that there are more things in the LP store to spend LP on, this isn't going away anytime soon. As you can see from this thread, even the OP is using a marauder to do missions.

We reimburse armor machs for pilots with the appropriate skills, they're sort of a favored ship for us, so don't worry, they're safe.

Speaking of Machariel, that one looks to be in dire need of:

- Dronebay reduced to 50m² (alt-0178 works yay)
- One lowslot reduced

Limited per person, using approved fits on strategic ops, and only if they meet the (exceedingly high) skill requirements. It's not just open reimbursement for any loss anywhere Blink
