Thank you, I'm glad you noticed the last line of my post. I'm saddened you didn't add anything, but another poster later did, which I found helpful and would lead to delicious tears on the part of the pirate.

Since this is not an isolated case and is happening 24/7 now, seems to me it's definitely being exploited.

Eventually Cosmos missions will get updated / fixed. When that will happen largely depends on the amount of petitions CCP receives from the mission running player base.. Situations and issues like this definitely need to be brought to the attention of the Eve Community and more importantly, to CCP themselves.

This thread would have been a lot more beneficial if it had been posted in the sub forum - Missions & Complexes. General Discussion is pretty much Troll Central filled with a lot of high brow thug mentality, constantly spouting their pompous opinions and gang banging on any who oppose.

By the way, the snarky remarks from CSM posted in this thread is a typical example of a self serving attitude that's only concerned with issues that affect themselves. In my opinion that behavior contradicts with the position of CSM as a Community Representative.

How does playing the game as intended make one a sociopath?

Tons. You just can't respond to any of them so you have to use abuse as your last (failed) attempt at being relevant to the discussion.

Do you have any proof to support these assertions?
What's the exploit? What's broken and in need of fixing?

Pointing out glaringly obvious flaw is someone's argumentation is not really snarky. Oh, and if you dislike that attitude so much, why is it the only one you ever adopt?

No it's spectacularly sensible, and full credit for CCP on not compromising on this core principle.

What would be spectacularly dumb would be "fixing" this feature and treating mission runners as some kind of special chosen-kind who may not be touched or interfered with, unlike every other profession in EVE.

Failure to complete results in no standing loss as long as you haven't failed any other missions in the last 4 hours.

And exactly this, I voted for Mal not because he was in 'INIT', but because he 'Gets It' (lol). Blunt, straight forward, no BS, just raw truth. Truth till it hurts.

Sooooo many squishy, squeamish , oversensative 'mommy he hurt mah feelins' types around and can deal with how Mal slings it it's really kind of crazy to me given the nature of the game we all play ie you'd think these folks that can't handle a little meaningless internet rough housing would make game choices other than EVE.

Meh, I have yet to see a GM refusing to reset a mission for practically no reason whatsoever. It costs them nothing.

On the other hand, COSMOS must hold some kind of trophy for being the EVE feature that has been neglected for the longest period of time without being scrapped. Any change to this, would be quite surprising.

yea, its silly how long these poorly designed game mechanics take to get fixed. I find it funny, all the same nonsensical forum clowns, repeatedly stammering with that overused catch-all, that EVE is supposed to be a "harsh and dangerous environment" while simultaneously ignoring the fact that high-sec pirates are able conduct these activities with essentially zero risk and extremely negligible costs should they fail. According to my detractors, "its fine!", and "harsh and dangerous environment" isn't supposed to apply to high-sec piratesRoll

Fortunately CCP has been showing progress lately in fixing these poorly designed mechanics. Can flipping and miner ganking got fixed. Isn't it about time for COSMOS missions? The EVE grief monkeys have had it far too easy for far too long.

Huh? Once a mission is accepted, it's accepted. Not completing an accepted mission is not the same as declining a mission. The former results in a significant standings loss, the other does not provided it's done outside the 4 hour mission timer. At least, that is my understanding of it.
