Long story short, Plex for pizza
I petitioned to find out if the rules could be bent, to allow for trading plex for pizza.


A few years ago CCP saw an enormous interest for their PLEX for GFX, and only a hundred of us got one.
With Plex for pizza, everyone would be able to trade their excess ISK for pizza.


It's against the rules, but posting a GM's response here kinda explains the purpose of the thread.

hmm how about buy a plex and get a $5 reduction on a medium pizza from pizza hut? like an online cuppon code that you imput for a reduced pizza price?

I would endorse this PROVIDING you can order the pizza in game through the market or contract system.

Possibly you could make certain pizza like say supreme or pepperoni only available for order in losec or null.

This would provide a fantastic opportunity for gate campers who could set up on the gates into systems known to have good pizza available around meal times in popular time zones.

This was suggested a few years back and was a fairly popular idea with the players, but not with CCP. Makes me sad.

I remember a few years back when that 'other' MMO was trying to allow people to buy pizza from Pizza Hut through the game itself somehow. Dunno how that went since I have never played it, and really haven't heard anything else about it. Just seen a news snippet about it once when they were trying it.

edit- somehow this posted blank, retyping since draft forgot my post too.

you would type slash pizza and get taken to the pizza hut website, then after a while it switched to dominos and maybe papa john's too. But no ordering ingame. The devs of that game received a lot of hate over it, even though it was such a minor thing. Now the game is f2p so whatever.

I used it a time or two when it was through pizza hut. In game money wasn't used, just the slash pizza command opened up a browser window, I had to pay with money, and hate.

Hate is delicious when it is on a slice of cheezy bread.

I'm pretty sure CCP just doesn't want to have to deal with all the different taxes involved. Not to mention people who no show, **** off delivery guys, or are all around d-bags. I currently work in a pizza place. If I was forced to deliver a pizza that was bought with a fake currency to one of you knowing full well I play the same game. I would quit on the spot no questions asked.

The logistics alone are absurd, also plex would be considered a legit form of e-currency and be taxed to non existence.
