So i hear Orca with 4 miners is most efficient that Orca with less than 4 miners. What is most efficient?

From 2 account with equal Mining Yeilds.
2 Retrievers
1 Retriever and a Covetor. Putting Covetor Ore into Retriever and hauling it back to station
1 Orca and a Covetor.

Which one will bring me more ore faster and more efficientQuestion

is the search feature broken?
or is maths hard?
or, both?

if you can't calculate yields then don't be a miner.

Two Retrievers. A booster only starts being useful after the third mining ship. You are better off with 2 miners and why would you use a mining ship, to haul for another mining ship?

Why do the most boring one?

Money at its root is a form of rationing. When the richest 85 people have as much wealth as the poorest 3.5 billion (50% of humanity) it is clear where the source of poverty is. http://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2014/jan/20/trickle-down-economics-broken-promise-richest-85

Not everyone finds it boring. I find it quite relaxing. chuck on a bit of Nobuo on vinyl, chill out to some mining while perusing the markets.

Well said Lucas!! Profits aren't everything. I have always found mining relaxing. I especially like group mining while chatting. It's only boring if you make it so. -chuk

2 hulks and an orca will mine the same as 3 hulks, all with max skills. With retrievers it would be even more. So for two characters, you definitely want 2 mining ships.

2 equal ships will mine better than one with boosts.
3+ equal ships will mine less than 2+ with boosts.

The Covetor will eat the rocks along with the Retriever but when one is full then the retriever is best to take it all back because it is faster and you dont have to switch ships. The covetor will stay there unmoved and eat rocks efficiently

for max efficiency
1 x booster
4x hulks
1x hauler

for someone not rolling your cans in hisec with a little less efficiency
1x booster
4x mackinaws

fun fact; you can haul with an orca without dropping mining boosts.

really? dang! so the link mods stay active during warp and being docked now. i haven't flown a orca for quite some time, though i know this isn't the case with a rorq

no, you just realise that the links only need to be active when a cycle starts/ends so you've got plenty of time to align/warp/dock/undock/make a cup of tea/etc and still have your boosts active when they need to be.

Ore 104 sec cycle time
Ice 44.8 sec cycle time

I guess for ore it might be possible, if you time it just right and its a short warp. maybe when u undock you could align and turn the links back on to catch the next cycle before u warp back..

meh for that much hassle id rather another toon to haul with

a pilot hauling is a pilot not mining.

I will admit, it doesn't work as well with ice unless you're using covetors or hulks but meh, c'est la vie.

usually when you realise mining is **** isk and incursions pay out far more and don't require an obscene amount of accounts.

Actually if you time your warp to start when an ice cycle begins, then warp to station at 0, run links for the end/beginning of the next cycle, dock, unload, undock, run links + align, warp then run links, its easy to do with ice too.

It sounds quite complex but once you've done it a few times it all just becomes natural.
