Angel Anomalies are spawning in AMARR BLOOD RAIDER SPACE.

We're afraid to run it...

As a black hole may occur.

So... the thing about balancing the nodes may have had an unintended side effect?

Or maybe CCP has been busy with Ghost Sites and the threat of Pirate factions developing a breakthrough in warp travel?

The pirate factions have been using these covert research facilities to develop warp-enhancing implants to aid them in their attacks.

The second answer, which I'm going to phrase carefully because I know this'll come up again years from now, is this: Part of the long-term view with Ghost Sites is that the pirates are developing technologies that allow them to cross immense expanses - but at the moment, only under extremely limited conditions. (The upcoming Rubicon chronicle touches on this idea.) There is no guarantee that this development will mean pirates - or players - will eventually be able to, I dunno, cyno into w-space at will or something ... but it doesn't take a huge leap of logic to imagine that this kind of instantaneous-transport research might eventually be the cornerstone of new stargate technology.

oh lol. so these new stargates are going to be able to jump you into wh space. perhaps due to unpopularity of wh's due to randomness of wh exits / entrances.

sounds good

Agreed but we all heard it was going to be some far away and distant land that only goons can go to, once they've built the star gate in 5 years time.

Dumbing down of Eve Online will result in it's destruction...

Angels are tired of this minmatar lowsec BS so they have now decided to deploy to blood raider space and eradicate them once and for all

Yep. And than wormhole space isn't wormhole space any more but just "regular" space.

So it may as well just be nullsec; empty and with nobody in it besides occasional bot havens.

But perhaps only for the owners of the gates. For everyone else its scanning hell as usual :)

How much firepower/time does it take to destroy a player stargate?

I, for one, would like to see a stargate at the undock of a trading station. Stargates next to stargates would be even better. Here's to hoping that CCP forgets to implement "only one of X within Y AU of each other" and/or "only X of Y per system" rules.

edit: Also, wouldn't player stargates potentially make the Blue Doughnut a Blue Hyper-Dougnut?

They can't put stargates that close together, because then they'd have to buy the rights to the Benny Hill song/yakety Sax and that costs money.
