Out there, in the vast night between the worlds, in the darkest reaches of the galaxy, on planets that have no names, thingsare moving.

In the endless Aeons since the universe came, screaming, into being; other things than Man must have been born.

Thusfar we have only met the remnants of Terra's diaspora, the artifice of a humanity from ages long forgotten. They are all dead now, only cryptic warnings and automated defenses watching over the husks of civilizations dead for millennia.

How did they die? How did their vast technological prowess and godlike warmachines not protect them...?

The wormholes gave us more questions than answers.

The Jovians say nothing, keeping their own council as ever, though they must have bore witness. It is safe to assume they did not gift the four empires with the power of Capsuleers out of the kindness of their hearts however. Jove never does anything unless it benefits it's own.

Kuvakei Sansha knows something, but it's impossible to distill reason from his rhetoric.

Something stalks our young empires, something dark and unknowable. And we are not ready for it.

11/23 Devblog title: Dark Things reworked

After much discussion and reasoning* that with the coming winter expansion: Crucible the Dark Things are being removed indefinitely. Sleepers are being replaced by space iguanas, Jovians are now iWoks (highly advanced teddy bears that proudly display Apple logos on their hybrid cars**), and suicide ganking in high sec causes one random member of Goonswarm to explode and lose an arbitrary number of SP between 1 and 100,000,000.

Thank you for your time,

P.S. - We broke PI even more. Can't go into details now but suffice it to say that no one will do PI. Ever. Spoiler alert: it involves nails and your eyes.

*: We used graphs n' stuff
**: Hybrid cars are being rebalanced, but are still useless

iWoks? I guess, if you like that. I feel they are a bit overpriced.

This is the best description of the current state of Eve, I've read.

Strange, while reading the replies in this thread I thought my browser had automatically switched from 'Missions and Complexes' to 'General Discussion'.

To the OP,
Nice opening for a story.

Nice, and I **love** the iWok reply ... but isn't there an 'Eve fiction' forum group for creativity like this?

(Admittedly bitter 'n' twisted since my luvverly thread here got all locked up ... well, possibly B&T from the beginning)

I guess I am almost a 'vet' by now. Hopefully not too bitter and managing to help more than I hinder. I build and sell many things, including large collections of bookmarks.
