Hello.

Fly Free - Youtube
Fly Free - Evefiles

Evefiles MKV quality much higher than youtube (they render too dark).

So before One Man Crew takes place, I decided to give one last effort and roam a couple hours per day, try to make one last individual video. All fights are post Rubicon.

Ships flown:
Scythe Fleet Issue, Battle Scimitar, T1 Battle Scythe, Celestis, T1 Battle Exequror, T1 Stabber, Battle Oneiros, Bellicose, Battle Basilisk. No remote reps ;-) No links.

Over the last couple of years, through many ingame and youtube messages from pilots and random viewers, I've gotten to understand what kind of things people really enjoy watching. You'd be surprised how many people who never even tried Eve still watch PvP videos. Anyway, I got to realize that 'just another' BC kill etc... isn't always what keeps people watching. Its more the random cool situations that don't necessarily end in a kill or death. So in this last video I decided to include various cool situations.

I think the final result is my best video so far, also in terms of editing and the general pace. Most of the video is 400% speed, as I wanted to include as much as I could, don't say I didn't warn you :-) Its very fast, and the pace and intensity of the situations picks up as the video progresses. 30 different solo PvP situations somehow fit in 24 minutes.

The video was sponsored by Eve-Bet
They are also sponsoring One Man Crew together with Garmon.

I set it up so that I had about 2 hours per day in the last month set aside for Eve. With the sponsorship ISK I fitted all the ships I wanted in advance. Used Red Frog to move them to various lowsec entries. Bought implants and placed a bunch of clones in those stations with the ships, and ordered lots of (rather expensive Improved boosters and Quafe Zero). In other words I could log in, and within 2 minutes I was roaming in any lowsec area in a fitted ship with boosters and implants. If the area was not active, or if I died, I'd just jump clone and immediately be active in another area without wasting any time. I didn't even care about loot, everyone that I killed got all their loot back (including many faction mods worth billions total) All this I could do thanks to the sponsorship :-) And it made it possible to create this video in just 1 month of roaming. So thank you!

Disclaimer (and answring some would-be questions):

The following implants were used for all the fights:

NN-603, EM-703, Zor's Hyper, RP-903, HG-1003

In some fights an Omega-less: LG Halo / LG Spur / LG Jackal sets were used, and video will tell you in which ones.
In many fights a partial Genolution set was used as well, the video will not note which ones.

Generally speaking for me it goes like this: Genolution > Sensor Strength > Halo. So sometimes I'd use CA-1 or 2 if needed plus one or two jackals and one or two halo. The sensor strength of logistics is already a bit higher, and with two LG implants I was quite confident against ECM drones (though of course still got jammed sometimes). It is more important for me to be able to fit that extra tracking disruptor in mids, rather than have another 1% signature from implants, because TD = pure tank. Or a web = killing enemy drones faster = more tank. And no small sig in the world would save you from getting jammed by ECM drones which would make all efforts futile. So fitting a med smartbomb became a priority, in other words PG/CPU implants > Sensor and so on. You get the point.

The character of Aldap has perfect skills in all to do with any of the ships that were flown.

By perfect I mean specialization 5 in every little detail up to drones spec 5, navigation, anything to do with cap, armor, shield, etc... This is important to note because many fights end with me in structure. And without using the boosters that I could afford to use freely due to sponsorship, together with the implants, and the perfect skills, then I don't know if I'd survive those first volleys when my transversal isnt great, or under 2 webs without that extra X speed from high skills, or if I didn't kill the opponent those 10 seconds faster due to Gallente drones spec 5 or all Autocannons support 5s...

I feel it is important to note these things specifically for this video.

For my previous videos it wasn't like that. Also I do not wish to discourage anyone from trying things! Obviously its the only way to truly improve. And in my first videos I didn't have these skills yet, and I still got great fights! But just here in this video I work the 'signature radius tanking', and it seems easy to do the things I do in it with those logistic hulls.... I write these things so that a new player won't just decide to take out a Scimitar and find that he gets vollied in 5 seconds, because that will discourage you more than the things I am writing. There are many factors to consider in why these fits worked in those situations. So please for newer players- take these things into consideration.

Always fly only what you can afford to lose!

The way I see it, and always have, is... Don't let anyone tell you what you can or can't do. See for yourself.
I made these fits. No one told me how or why. It is my experience that evolved inside Eve that made me want to try this or that. If I'd ask my FCs in the past if I should try to fight in my T1 Stabber with a Proteus, they'd say no. Or to engage a small gang in my battle Basilisk, they'd just laugh, right? I had to try these things to really know. This is why I included this kind of situations in the video. It shows that roaming solo, free from fears limitations is possible. If you can see how much fun I've had in this last month of roaming, then you get what I'm talking about.

Awesome as always. Will be a great ending to your series of videos. They have all been amazing and inspirational.

Now my only wish is that you stay in this damn game.

Awesome video to watch :) from the fights to the editing simply outstanding. I hope this changes people thinking of solo and dual tanking, speed and sig tanking as well :) a very nice gift for christmas ty.

I like that you show the people that kills are not that important but the situation fights put you through even if you die or a 5 man gang runs from a t1 logi :)

Happy Holidays o7

Are you actually quitting Eve? Please say no.

That was utterly entrancing. You have such an amazing narrative in your videos and your control throughout is truly unbelievable.

I don't really know what to say . Thanks for posting that Big smile

I do want to know if you let the Raven pilot live though? Big smile

Ed: Also - the way you lay out your modules is awesome. I am stealing that.

Aldap, this video is amazing, your manual piloting skills and micro on the tank is unbelievable. I know it's pretty hard to get fighs in Amarr non-fw lowsec so +reppin' this for the effort

Amazing video Aldap, sad to see you go. You personally inspired me to try out AB cruiser pvp, and I've had (still having) a blast doing so. o7 m8

Such an inspiring piece mate.

Loved the footages and the info about fits and stats but had issue reading some text comment because my damaged brain couldn't read fast enough.

I'm gonna miss your footprint on this game... (not sure it makes any sens)

Very nice job mate.

I usually don't enjoy videos that don't involve the use of link alts because fights are too bland and boring, but this was certainly the exception!

I really got a kick out of the Scimitar with an Ancillary Shield booster and Armor repairer taking out that Tengu.
