So I've taken to WH life lately and our static is a LS so I frequent dangerous systems hunting occassionally. Usually scanning gas sites and running them for easy isk but the past few days I have been catching ventures like me and figured killing them was more fun. Last night we tore one up as he was mining celadon Cytoserocin which is pretty decent. When he popped the gas dropped estimated at 23mill. So I quickly grabbed my venture and scooped it all. Close to high sec I figured I would go sell it quickly. Only four jumps so I would be home in no time. Well two jumps into my journey it occurred to me that I had a suspect timer. I threw caution to the wind. I ended up docking no problem but the gas wasn't selling at the station I was in. No problem I think I will just go to another station. I undock... and I'm quickly killed and podded. Oooops. Haha. Now 20 jumps from home.

So you undocked in a venture, +2 warp, then sat there long enough to get 3 points and still sat there to get podded.

Yea, about that Congrats. Your lack of thought deserves its own forum post.

Actually just biomass now and make it so no one else has to listen to your great stories.

You go suspect for engaging someone in null? Interesting.
Also learn to instawarp your pod OP, it's not hard, there are plenty of guides.

Mistakes were made. I assume we will not see a similar post from you in the future? Good.

EDIT: Just realized this post looks kinda rude. I'm just trying to suggest that you take this experience as a learning opportunity and not get popped due to suspect timers in the future. Remember 15 minutes can save you 23 million or more on ship insurance by waiting out suspect and engagement timers.

Looks like he got insta-popped by a Thrasher. You now look exceptionally stupid.

I've made a very reasonable offer on your character sale thread so I can personally ensure this never happens again.

You appear to have missed the part where LS was mentioned.

Arty Thrashers are rather useful for popping those pesky Ventures, as are arty Wolves..:)

Everything in EVE is a trap.

And if it isn't, it's your job to make it a trap...:)

The only thing we can take from this is that people are horrible at fitting ventures.

Love the trolling.. but just so everyone is clear I was insta locked by a destroyer. I died so fast I thought I was smart bombed. And my pod was locked up just as fast.

When I was new to a life of crime, I used to set a countdown timer on my phone when I docked. I refused to touch the keyboard before it went "beep beep" at me. I did that after one time committing a small act of theft, docking like a good boy, then a few minutes later thinking "Oh, I need to go to X to do Y" and hitting undock. That poor Algos. I was screaming "No! No! No!" at the screen almost as soon as I hit the undock button. Later I learned about canceling the undock :)

not seeing how re-docking before becoming vulnerable wasn't an option. I like how in your OP you leave out who or what killed you, as if it was the station guns themselves or something.

Well in my experience The Hydra Confederacy never recruited the brigthest folk so this thread doesnt surprise me in the sligthest.

The important thing is you had fun and learn from the experience (or dont).

Well bud still dont look as silly as the OP who decided this was a forum worthy thread. The only point I was making was that everyone can get popped as a suspect be it by a instalocker or just cause I forgot and sat afk. The really silly part was that he ran off to make a forum post about it so that no one ever forgets. Most sensible folks would try hard to forget about it and hope no one remembers the dumb moments.

Also pounding redock helps, I mean you do have a few seconds of invulnerability after undocking so you have time to rethink things after leaving station. Also abort undock if you really are paying attention.

Anyway good luck on that character purchase.
