1)train a skill called thermodynamics...
2) overheat some modules (overheat causes damage to the modules)
3) have paste in hold.
4) right click module and select repair.

As the previous poster has said, it's used to repair damaged modules. NRP can be used to repair a semi-damaged module. It can't be used to repair modules thatt hhave been damaged so much they've bbroken and gone offline. Also the recently introduced ancilliary armour reppers use NRP as a charge, using several units each cycle to massively increase repair amount. Once you're out of NRP charges your repper will use far more capacitor to repair damage.
Also don't use it as a toothpaste cos it will fuse your jaw shut. Works well as a superglue.

Actualy the repper does not consume more cap if it runs out of paste but it will repair at a lower armount.

I haven't toyed with these yet, but thanks, I didn't know. It's the Ancillery Shield Booster that will actually keep repping the same amount, but doing so by eating your capacitor when you have no charges loaded.

OP, In PVE a player must deal with slow, burning DPS against him. In PVP it's often the contrary, a player gets 'primaried' (chosen as the primary target) and has to deal with a lot of damage at once, which may or may not dissipate entirely. Hence, this type of 'burst' repping is very usefull in many PVP situations.

Actually, just to be picky :P

When the repper is running with nanite paste in it there is a MASSIVE 60sec reload time to take into consideration, which is not the case when it is unloaded. With no NRP loaded the repper will cycle once every few seconds continuously, thus running out of NRP or choosing to unload the repper will increase your overall cap consumption a little.

The real bonus to using NRP in an Ancillary Armor Repairer is the triple rep amount bonus however..
