Smartbombs need some Love

• Same meta items have different ranges and damage types, why?
• Have there been ever been looked into after introduction?
• Riggs would be nice (maybe range?, damage?,.. or a total module overhaul (cap boosters))?

t2 should be 10k for large, and t1 5k.

meta 3.8 km

perhaps ancillary smartbombs?

Lets not encourage them to continue the meta tiers that make only meta 4 used by anyone with isk and the others just poor man variants.

In some cases Meta 4's are cheaper than T2, like Heavy Modulated Beam Lasers

My 0.02 isk:

1.) There is only one "meta" variant of each smart bomb, not 4. We certainly don't need Meta 1, 2, 3, & 4 for smartbombs.

2.) Large Smartbombs do not need a 15 km blast radius, I'm not really comfortable with larges having a 10 km blast radius TBH. There is a lot of benefit in having smartbombs hit just shy of scram range (6-7.5 kms), where ships attempt to stay out of blast damage range while holding a scram.

Tbh i do think smartbombs should be a viable counter vs scram frigats, but not versus interceptors. I think 10km range would be nice and than faction to counter vs scramming interceptors

Have you seen how effecting smartbombs currently are? And you want a buff?

I'm not even considering how much of a nerft to missiles that would be either....

A smartbomb is so smart that it doesn't care if that tackler is a ceptor or not, one large smartbomb can nuke them in 3-4 cycles regardless.

Since you seem to be new here, welcome to EVE and happy new year.

Every module and boat that has variations have a 'variations tab' on them with a 'compare' function, a very helpful thing for people -like me- just like to read things.

If you use it, you can read things too.

There might even be a variation of a smartbomb that isn't tech II but meta 7,8 and even higher with mucho more range and damage included but it's a secret that only the scholars that can read know about.

Smartbombs do not need more range. They do not need more damage. In fact, they are absolutely fine as they are. The only change that might be worthwhile is the introduction of capital smartbombs.

I'd like a damage type icon on them, along the lines of shield/armor amps/hardeners.
