Ingame fitting tool

As we all know most eve players use a program called Eve Fitting Tool to make their fit before buying the parts and fitting thier ship up with expensive rigs etc. Why isn't this feature in game yet?

It cant be that hard to make a second fitting window where we can choose whatever ship we want to try fitting and then dragging stuff from market or w/e (would be good if it included faction mods too).

Our current skills should be applied to the ship, if people want to see how they can fit in the future they should go to EFT but they shouldn't have to tab out of the game to plan their ships.

This would also allow saving fits that you don't own to show other players how they could fit etc.

or use EFT and import the fits...

One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia

There are some real morons in this game. "HUUURR USE SISI." - F*ck off you idiots

External tools get created because of shortcomings in Eve. I don't think it's unreasonable to ask CCP to try to integrate their functionality into the game.

An integrated fitting tool is a good idea, the fact that someone made an external application to do it, and it's continued popularity show that theyre a good idea.

Another good idea is an integrated skill planner. right click on item/ship/fitting, create skill plan.

Also a skill planner that buildsa skill plan that includes fitting skills. Currently EveMON will give you a skill plan for the skills required for a set of modules and ships, but won't factor in the fitting skills you need to actually put a ship together and use it effectively. Because there's nothing better than realizing "oh great I've got another month of training Engineering V, Electronics V and Weapons Upgrades V before I can actually fit all this stuff to the ship that I've just trained for"

Also theres a ton of other player made tools that could do with being integrated. GARPA for example.

Skill planner would be good, it could even be a simple list where it just keeps track of what skills you need to train as prerequisites for what you put in.
