How can I speed up pickup runs?

I have some items which I purchased via a buy order that can be 8 jumps apart -- how can I speed the process of picking these items up? I've been sat here for over an an hour and I think I've only been to 4 places, I have around 20 on my list -- it's going to take forever!

Thanks

Let useful idiots do it for you.

Barely worth it with Hobgoblins and mining lasers I'm buying at the moment -- barely making any profit as it is lol :(

Wait until the piles are big enough, or relist them where they are, or take a fast ship round

I used to run regional orders in 3 or 4 regions.I only picked up those big enough to keep the iskflow going to manage my buy orders and all the rest i picked up when i closed all my regional orders about 4 months later.

Then sell them where they are. You can get a large markup on those items from the rare person that wants them right where they are.

If you do haul them, it's cheaper to contract the hauling to a useful idiot than to invest your precious time doing it.

You ARE flying manually and not on autopilot, right?

So you've identified that the job isn't worth doing, not even by an underpaid idiot, and you want to learn more about doing it yourself?

You might want to start your trading career by localizing your purchases to a mission hub system and perhaps a 1 system radius from said hub.

At which point you can spend minimal time scooping up your purchases, in a small area with heavy pilot activity, and then you can spend more time flipping it for better profits in a major trade hub. Rinse, repeat.

I suggest this because the situation you've described thus far is right up there with knee-capping yourself.

Enjoy.

Little tip which might help - once you've added your waypoints, click the A and choose Optimise Route to reduce number of jumps to a minimum
