New Structure Request: Communication Node

What is a Communications Node?

+ Anchored Near a WH to K-Space
+ Only works while the WH is open
+ Allows IFF information to be submitted to Concord and applied to WH Local.

TL:DR
It allows an attacker or defender to "Turn on" local inside a WH for a limited time-frame.

This type of gameplay mechanic is the "sort" EVE needs, it does not contribute to power creep in any form, it requires that players leave their "safe zones" to deploy, attack, or defend.

This module would lead to some fairly direct confrontations, and would encourage player interaction.

Thank You Obama!

posting in a stealth cloaking is overpowered thread.

Don't touch my wormhole mechanics.

We don't need Local, and neither do you.

We need the intel local provides.
Fine if this comes from some other source, but don't pretend the mechanics are otherwise the same in Anoikis as they are in known space.

Enjoying the rain today? ;)

As soon as local is provided in wh space, we will start getting complaints that no one can do anything because of the afk cloakers.

I dont know how long you held onto that gem, but I feel genuinely sorry for you that you wasted it on a STO thread.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

This is hillarious; the one place in EVE where we don't hear tons of "AFK" Cloaking complaints and someone wants to open the door for the complaints to start there as well. The lack of free intel in WH space is a blessing from the gods. Learn to enjoy it and work around the differences.

  - remove the cloaked from local; free intel is the real problem, not  "afk" cloaking -

AFK Cloaking is an intended mechanic, WH residents are basically exploiting the game to avoid them.

There is no need as all comunications flow in and out of wormholes.

If I am in a wormhole and talked in corp chat (or any chat for that matter) to corpie in Jita he reads and responds.

If the data link didn't exist the corpie and all chat channels would be forever silent.

If they put in a node then in theory they could make a nod jammer... No local in null O.O

Like any thread linking a themittani article would have got you a metric buttload of appreciation, but the cat is now out of the bag. And I am so stealing it.

LOL - I fondly recall the first time I was surprised in a WH. (By a Loki) The lack of absolute knowledge of who is in a hole is what makes it fun.

Sadly, I didn't lose my Drake. Roll

I wholeheartedly support this option as well, it adds a gameplay mechanic that doesn't contribute to power creep.

I think perhaps a better idea would be to fudge the LY ranges to/between wormhole systems and allow hot-dropping.

Then maybe the w-space yokels could finally have a leg to stand on.
