After Mavericks update, TS issue

Folks,

After updating with the Mavericks OS, I can no longer key up to speak into TeamSpeak 3 from Eve. If I tab over to TS, I can key up and speak. But when I key up from Eve, nobody can hear me.

I tried deleting and reinstalling TS, no luck.

I tried resetting the PRAM on the Mac, no luck.

Any help? TS is basically useless if I can't speak on it.

My MacBook Pro is:
15-inch, Mid 2012
Processor 2.6 GHz Intel Core i7
Memory 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Graphics Intel HD Graphics 4000 1024 MB
Software OS X 10.9.1 (13B42)

Thanks for any help you can render.

Sounds like a TS issue and not an EVE issue, but you likely already knew that.

Having said that: 10.9 changes some of the ways global hotkeys works via the Accessibility capabilities. You now have to authorize each application. You might try going to System Preferences -> Keyboard -> Accessibility (I think that's it as it's moved from its own panel to being embedded in the method (keyboard/mouse/etc.) ) and allowing TS client.

I'm not sure it's just a TeamSpeak issue. A related issue I just found: When I launch Mumble before Eve, I can launch the Eve launcher, but then when I click Play I get the following error message:

Exception raised
Unhandled page fault on read access to 0x00000028 at address 0x781f3858. Do you wish do debug it?

And then the game crashes, whether I hit Yes or No.

Also, Delmos, apologies if I'm just dense, but I didn't find the accessibility control panel in the sequence you described. I did finally find an accessibility section, but nothing about enabling different programs.

My bad on the location, look in System Preferences->Security and Privacy->Privacy tab.

Again, TS Client may not show up there and that's really a TS Client issue, not an EVE issue; so you may end up having to take it up with the TS devs.

Thanks, yes. Solution seemed to be in two parts (though the first part by itself worked fine).

1: Change the hotkey to something that isn't barred by the Mac OS anti-tampering (not the right term) protections. I am using command, and now it works fine.

2. Yes, go into System Preferences>Security and Privacy>Accessibility and enable TS3 client.

Thanks for guiding me in the right direction.

P.S. this hasn't solved the Mumble issue, but I'm not usually using Mumble at the moment.....

Glad I could help, at least partially and thanks for posting the rest of the solution for myself and others who come along.
