I would consider myself a scavenger, picking off PvE content and look for small fights.

I nomad out of an Orca using 3 accounts.
Sell the occasional hole.
Mainly been riding around the c1-c4 holes.
Have done the fortress lifestyle in C2's up to C6 WH's.
I dip in and out of High Sec and WH's due to work obligations.
Am away from eve for 2 weeks at a time through work commitments. So nomad lifestyle suits me down to the ground.
I tend to carry 3 T3's, 3 scanning frigates, 2 Ventures and a relic/data/salvage frig.
If I find a nice juicy system with lots of sigs and sites then I setup a small POS for an alternative temporary safe haven for ship changes etc.
This usually stays up for 24-48 hours, then I move onto the next hole.
I need to try my hand at some nomad style PvP.

but the question is what to use?

2 x T3's with a scanning frig.
or
2 x bombers with a scanning frig.
or
Arazu and Proteus and Loki combo?

Sounds a little bit more like invasion-proofing than anything else. It's not a sustainable way to remain an anyspace entity, imo. Burn-outs will happen. The tedium of packing up, moving, adjusting to your new environment, again, will run you down. You'll lose a certain sense of belonging. Gl, though.

You get burned out, pack a scanner and all your **** into orca's carriers and log all your stuff off.

vs.

You get burned out, spend 2+ days getting all your **** out of your wormhole to THEN be able to log off.

10/10 would go nomad.

Oh look people are seeding caps into our system, at the end of the day they'll get 5 towers to reo and thats it. Packing up and moving is a brainless process if you can fly the proper ships imo. New environments imo are one of the most fun things, because being in a pulsar/red giant or w.e for an extended amount of times gets boring after a while.

That being said, we live nomad to be invasion proof, that doesnt mean we move on a regular basis.

All you need to do in order to be 'invasion proof' is stop caring if you get invaded *shrug*

I think what Jonny means by 'invasion proof' is to give no incentive to the invaders, and to lose nothing if they do decide to invade.

well sure that's exactly right, but you do this by managing assets in a way that a) doesnt show anything of worth openly at your POS and b) means you'll be able to remove everything of worth from your POS in case of siege.
this is why i physically cringe whenever i run into some random C2 with 3 floating carriers and a rorqual. doing this is about the dumbest thing you can do.

personally if someone wants to spend 2 days knocking over my POS to maybe get their hands on some T1 cruisers while I move my crap out as setup in another WH, it aint going to keep me up at night.

Invasions bring lots of content to wormhole space, along with plenty of threads to troll in. I don't see an issue here.

On the other side of the coin though, if people hate invasions so much, it's an easy fix. Ban capitals of any kind in wormhole space. I know how much you capital clinging vaginas would love that.

*The following people are excluded from said vaginas comment: Sky FIghters, anyone who can invade and destroy all my things, fellow spacebros, Eve players, Abraham Lincoln, Colonel Sanders, that kid on those orange juice commercials who always picks the grape drink (haters gonna hate on a brother), and the midget who just walked by my office window. Not trying to **** off the little people.

No trolling please

This is a very interesting concept. How do you guys manage dreads? Those don't adapt to nomadic life as easily as carriers do without a CHA or SMA. Just another alt you need to manage?

That being said, do you just use your carrier when it's stuffed full of ships since you would have nowhere else to put them? It seems kinda like turning your carrier into a very shiny pinata. It's too bad they haven't made a mobile SMA yet. Nothing fancy, just with enough space to store what's in an orca/carrier and I would be way sold on this lifestyle were that the case.
