Good luck IRL, man.
There are two things I wanted to say though:

1) You could keep your stuff in case you're back eventually. I gave some stuff away because I was thinking about leaving, and see, I'm still here after a while.
2) Inb4 ISD telling you to post such threads in out of pod section...

Eve is like E-crack. We all know that. It's hard not to hop on for 30 minutes and not have it turn into three hours. I love it to bits, but it's not a game you can play as casually as say...a round of League of Legends, or... Well let's be honest, there's no game I can compare Eve to and not have it insult New Eden's population.

That's the issue: I need to make sure I don't come back. It's not a sleight against CCP, or the game they've produced. I just need to move on with things.

Whilst it's touching people are suggesting this, I've chosen to do it this way for a reason. My health isn't brilliant, which needs to change, but there's a little bit of heartbreak involved, which is the real kick up the arse. There's nothing like a woman to make you reassess where things are going for you.

I was thinking about that too, but no. Isk is Isk, and ships are losses waiting to happen. Amber is...she's my creation, and thus is personal. Plus I sold a character last year and he now looks like a gay biker. So, no. Just...no.

I understand your desire to to make changes in you life but from my own experience things never work out the way you plan. Who knows what might happen in a few months or years. That woman may reassess where things are going for herBlink

I briefly considered quitting a while back, since I wasn't doing very well in school and I needed to focus. I think I'm learning to balance things properly though. But real life always takes priority. Hopefully in the future you'll be able to strike a balance as well.
