Bumping ships?

I recently took up miner bumping. I have been using a stabber, which does a decent job, but I am wondering if there is anything better.

Ideally, I would like a ship that can bump the miner away gfrom the asteroid in one push, which my stabber cannot do.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

You are fitting it with a 100mn MWD right?

Usually you want a Stabber Fleet Issue with 100MN microwarp drive.

Since your bumping is related to your mass and velocity, adding a 100MN microwarp drive adds 50,000,000 kg to your ship. The SFI weighs 10,810,000 kg (61M kg with 100MN mwd). I can get an SFI up to 5,500 m/s without overheating. A Machariel (145M kg with 100MN mwd) will get about half that. With my skills, the SFI would have higher kinetic energy and momentum than the Machariel, so if you remember you inelastic collisions from physics, I would punt a barge farther with an SFI.

I second stabber fleet issue with 100Mn microwarp. If you get a deadspace one, you can even get cap stab :p

This is the question on everyone's mind.

CCP should add more NPC 0.0 space to open it up and liven things up: the Stepping Stones project.

Megathron hull of choice.

Not only are they good at bumping but they are good at pushing which can be even more fun against miners. Twisted

Anyone having opinion on bumping capitals? I was thinking of shield nano Machariel, but maybe there is something comparable? Or maybe something armor tanked that can bump decently over and over?
