I used to love flying this ship, even though is was far from perfect for PVP. With all the changes, how is it now?

I really don't know. I rarely see them used. I'd like an answer to this too.

I too have fond memories of the Crusader from back in my newbie days. So I experimented a bit and came up with something that I don't think is half bad.

[Crusader, Null-Sec Navy Slicer]

Damage Control II
Small Ancillary Armor Repairer, Nanite Repair Paste
Adaptive Nano Plating II
Heat Sink II

Limited 1MN Microwarpdrive I
Faint Warp Disruptor I

Dual Light Pulse Laser II, Scorch S

Basically, it can be used as a Navy Slicer but with less ehp, range, and damage. However, the Crusader is MUCH faster than a Slicer (almost 900 m/sec faster) and has a MUCH smaller sig radius with the MWD running (~230 for the Slicer and ~75 for the Crusader).

Another fit I have been tinkering with for AB-interceptor gangs is this...

[Crusader, IwanttoGETAWAY!]

Damage Control II
Small Ancillary Armor Repairer, Nanite Repair Paste
Adaptive Nano Plating II
200mm Reinforced Rolled Tungsten Plates I

Experimental 1MN Afterburner I
Warp Scrambler II

Small Focused Pulse Laser II, Imperial Navy Multifrequency S
Small Focused Pulse Laser II, Imperial Navy Multifrequency S
Small Focused Pulse Laser II, Imperial Navy Multifrequency S
Small Focused Pulse Laser II, Imperial Navy Multifrequency S

Small Ancillary Current Router I

It's a classic brawler Crusader... again, not half bad... but I feel there are better options that are beefier and have more dps (like Assault Frigates)... unless you are planning to do something in deep null-sec and NEED that interdiction nullification ability.

I was thinking...

Internal Field II
Small Ancillary Armor Repairer, Nanite Repair Paste
Energized Adaptive Nano Plating II

In my opinion, Interceptors are so thin that it is not worth putting a rep on unless you combine it with some buffer. By doing so, you have created a window in which you can safely watch your tank and take the time to activate your reps. Without a 200mm plate, you drop through shield, and then drop through armor before you know what happened.

Here's what I came up with:

Crusader: Plate + Rep

Highs:
Gatling Pulse Laser II
Gatling Pulse Laser II
Gatling Pulse Laser II
Gatling Pulse Laser II

Mids:
Limited 1mn Microwarpdrive I
Faint Epsilon Warp Scrambler I

Lows:
Damage Control II
200mm Reinforced Rolled Tungsten Plates I
Small Anciliary Armor Repairer
Heat Sink II

Rigs:
Small Energy Burst Aerator II
Small Energy Locus Coordinator I

I wear my goggles at night.
