It is true if you look at numbers only, but slow ships get to spend more time in warp -> they save more time by having their warp speed increased.

Also if you add my another suggestion about a way to uncap deceleration speed then even 5% bonus to warp speed wont be an issue: max warp speed currently attainable is 19.74 AU/s (T2 rigs, HG Ascendancy + WS-618), with 25% bonus from skill it'll be 24.675 AU/s. Current deceleration speed equals 1/3 of acceleration and capped to 2 AU/s, with my suggestion of using cuberoot instead of linear progression - ship warping @24.675 AU/s will have 2.91 AU/s deceleration speed (not enough to instantly appear on grid), but slow ships would benefit from it because ­­³√1.36 (freighter speed) = 1.1 AU/s, with skill 1.2 AU/s which is quite an improvement compared to current 0.5 AU's.

I didnt take it into account because it is a limited edition ship not capable of combat where deceleration speed actually matters (but even with proposed changes it wont instantly appear on grid from warp, because you'll need 350+ AU/s for that).

Nah, this is the first discussion on a skill to recover lost speed for larger ships.

Yeah, it's yet another skill.... but. If you fly a hauler, you wouldn't mind recovering the lost speed.

As far as flipping a switch in the database to recover the lost speed, that's cool with me too.

Something, anything, to recover what was once acceptable from what is now unacceptable(SM).
