It is the end of days,
CCP has lost its crazy way,
EVE is dying, or so I hear,
Tell me Devs, is that happening dear?

My character has lost its face,
My ship doesn't fit the race,
My game play crushed under heavy mace,
Tell me Devs, what is my place?

Amarr say, give our turrets back!
Caldari shout, missiles we do lack!
Gallente scream, blasters hit like sack!
Minmatar rage, we need more flak!

Fozzie and Rise, to the block!
How dare they make us flock!
Our ships smell like dirty sock!
Screw you Scottie, we can't undock!

Or so they say, if I may,
Having all races talking is no dismay,
Instead means they are all equal,
And that change is not lethal.

…except, of course, that Caldari were never really the missile race — their missile ships just gained a bit of prominence early on because there were two good mission ships that both used missiles.

Oh, and just because one T2 manufacturer gets its flavour tweak doesn't mean an entire race is getting the shaft.

Weapon of Choice

Welcome back, {pilot}. For your next assignment, we want to teach you about the unique characteristics of Caldari missile technology. Each race has its own preferences when it comes to weapons systems and fighting styles, and understanding our own weapons and battle doctrines will be crucial to your long-term success.

We Caldari use missiles, as I'm sure you've noticed already. Missiles have a number of important advantages. We can load different missiles for different targets and adapt quickly to any situation, dealing a damage type of our own choosing. All of the other racial weaponry locks you into pretty much one type of damage or another: for example, Amarr Lasers deal EM and Thermal, Gallente hybrid railguns and blasters deal Kinetic and Thermal… but Caldari missiles can deal any kind of damage. We've even developed missiles called Auto-Targeting Missiles that can find targets without you needing a lock on to them, which is particularly useful when an enemy compromises your electronics systems.
