Why is there not more discussion on this?

Meet you there?

"Space Engineers is a sandbox game about engineering, construction and maintenance of space works. Players build space ships and space stations of various sizes and utilization (civil and military), pilot ships and perform asteroid mining.

Space Engineers utilizes a realistic volumetric-based physics engine: all objects can be assembled, disassembled, damaged and destroyed."

Because it's space minecraft and this should be in OOPE anyways.

I downloaded it a few days ago and I've been having a blast. It is the perfect game to play on one screen while mining on another. I've been searching for a space game with 'realistic' physics forever, and if you turn off the inertial dampeners (z), Space Engineers is it. Once multiplayer comes out it'll be even better.

Above has the right idea. Smile

Single player games in windows are what keep us non-bot miners from going insane with boredom.

"I play another game while I play EVE", that's a really nice way to explain EVE to a friend. Lol

Mining just generates so much fun that you need to have some place for it to overflow to.

Makes me want to go get the box of lego out my attic (more of a trunk really).

However this looks pretty cool, I will have to give it a look Big smile cheers.

Quoted from Doc Fury: "Concerned citizens: Doc seldom plays EVE on the weekends during spring and summer, so you will always be on your own for a couple days a week. Doc spends that time collecting kittens for the on-going sacrifices, engaging in reckless outdoor activities, and speaking in the 3rd person."

looks alright .. but I refuse to get involved with steam. I have enough running on my machine without their client too.

They added warheads.

So many hours wasted on blowing up everything.

Crashed the game twice by filling up a hollow asteroid with warheads and shooting it with the assault rifle.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

I believe that there will be multiplayer component, so that it is not only creative, but also fun with friends. How many people it can handle?

If there be any kind of drones (I hope, for greater reliability), i will recreate Hive Frigate from HomeWorld Cataclysm. ...or at least Ramming Frigate - you know... smash and destroy everything.

Space Engineers are great sandbox. I hope developers not drop it very fast.

What this man or woman said is true.

I downloaded and installed SE, hey for $14 bucks it's awesome!

There is currently no game as of yet but boy does it have HUGE potential, even in it's alpha state it allows you a lot of freedom to build and make your own fun. Keeping a close eye on the development of this one. It's nothing like minecraft, it's WAY better.

oh and they just added rockets and guns to ships. They work now if you load them onto your ship. Sweeeet!

Check out what this guy made for mining:

Hey OP, my suggestion add Space Engineers some where in your title of this post. You are just giving SC and X more attention when SE should be the focus.

SE > X
