Now what you are saying makes sense. You did say they autism is "an excuse" for not controlling your kid. I think you meant poor parenting is a result of having a naughty autistic kid. (or any kid for that matter)

I am not saying my child has done anything "wrong" in this situation. I am saying he has done things in the past that would cause me alarm about what he *MIGHT* do should he want to log into EVE. I do not sit ans stare at him 24/7. He has to eat and things like that often require me to go into a different room than he is (cooking and all that,,, LOL).
What I am trying to say in this post is that that I was upset and that my child should not have to deal with a disgruntled nerdrage.
I am waiting on a reply from CCP, as well as I have taken numerous steps to prevent him from logging on until I have an answer to some questions I asked of CCP.

I don't think you are realising you are on the internet. It's all nerdrage, esp on EVE. And the fact he "might do something wrong on EVE" is another reason why I find it that you should've made it so he couldn't get on the computer at all. Not like he could do something that bad anyways I'm sure.

Why should I stop my son from getting on the internet, when he did nothing wrong? I mean, I am getting two sides here... one side says let him get hit with the reality that is EVE and learn from it. The other is saying lock him away in a closet. Vekk, things are not that simple.

Maybe you shouldn't sit here in forums asking stupid questions. Try making it so he can't use the computer, hack or not. Duh.

Vekk, I already have made sure he con not log into EVE.

I assume you are posting from a computer he will not have access to (and switched emails with, etc.)?

Otherwise...yeah...

Doing this all in the first place seems to be overreacting, like I said, but I am trying to help.

Also, good chance he can see these posts if he wants to.

Everything he had access to at this point has been changed, and he is asleep right now. As his laptop has been by my side all day and night, I am good for the moment.
Just waiting for a response from CCP on some questions I asked in the petition.

I said you remind me of begging people... and Yes you are begging for somthing. You are begging for sympathy due to your "dificult and special" situation. Thruth is you have the same rights as the rest of us. No more no less!

If you wanted to get out of this mess you'd do it based on the numerous good suggestions on how to achieve this.

bottom line is if you think theres a threat to you or your son call the police.
there is nothing here thats going to help you and the simple fact that this is some sort of shame on ccp post puts your entire (and might add used countless times before) story into question.

Just how do you expect to resolve a situation with 3rd party harassment on the forums of a game you just unsubscribed to anyway?

really, you are not the first person to use (yes I said use) a real or imagined situation to meet the goals of your particular agenda.
Frankly I've heard the story before and I think you're a weak troll, but on the off hand you are telling the truth, you are still lame as **** for using your son as leverage in some sort of "shame on the big bad video game company" post.

try growing up and learning how to deal with real life and quit using your kid (if you have one) as an excuse.

I have followed many of the suggestions posted to me.
If you actually read, you would know this. I am not using my child as leverage, I am not begging for sympathy. That was not my intent. My intent was to get perspective from people as to ways I could handle the situation. Many of which I implemented.

Who takes a threat from the internet seriously? Sounds like to me you are the one with problems. I mean really, who has the time or money or idea to go out to hurt someone or worse because of a video game. And if they did, well you got the upperhand by being in a house. This is just stupid.

It is my kid... If it upset him, then yes I am going to take action to try and resolve the situation. Did I respond too hastily and in an inappropriate manner. Yes! Am I trying to correct the situation? Yes!
Do I have the right and reason fro having concern for my child's well being Yes!

Everything was fine until a few days ago when my son logged on and he was upset by one of the emails that said this young man was "hunting me down" in two other video games and I should "stop corp hopping so I can F***ING KILL YOU".
I filed a petition with CCP as (in my opinion) someone going to the extent of going to other video games to seek retribution over negative consequences to his actions is disturbing and harassment. CCP then told me that there were no "real life threats" and they could do nothing. I then cancelled my accounts, uninstalled the client, changed the passwords, and asked CCP to cancel my accounts immediately. CCP then told me that they would not cancel my accounts immediately and that the actions I have taken should be sufficient to keep my son offline.
I did this for the protection of my son who is a high functioning teenage autistic. My son (as many autistic children are) is a technological genius; if he wants to get on EVE he can easily "hack" his way in. Keeping my son "in his box" per se is important to maintaining status quo.
CCP, PLEASE DO SOMETHING!

Sorry you're having issues with some jerk.

How is this guy hunting you down in two other games? Similar character names? Use non-related names.

Autism, I've read about it on several occasions. I still can't tell you what it is exactly so I can't advise you here other than to say that if your son has problems coping with such environments then he should not be exposed to such environments. If hes capable of getting around whatever it is you do to keep him off Eve, then perhaps use some hardware incapable of running Eve. If he can hack a P3 to run Eve I'd really like to get to know him. ;)

There is only so much CCP can or is willing to do. They are a corporation. As such they really couldn't give a rat's arse, IMO. All they really have to do is go through whatever motions required by law or associations they belong to in order to publish their game. It doesn't mean they actually have to do anything substantial.

Your best bet is to lay low. Goading this guy, as suggested in a reply on page one is not the way to go here. Obviously, the guy has issues dealing with things in a game. How do you think he's going to react to anything else you do in a confrontation? You need to break his ability to identify you. Unless he has access to your personal information then that should easily be accomplished by using different character names and most definitely unrelated character names between games.

Good luck.

Don't ban me, bro!

If the harassment is continuing through other media than just EVE Online, then it is possible you could file charges against the harasser in your jurisdiction. How successful you'd be would depend largely on the laws of your area. It might be something to consult a lawyer about. Also you can file a complaint against the individual asking his ISP to shut him off for harassment.

Just when I thought Eve was dying and the new forums were worse than the old ones I read this eloquent, heart tugging plea for human compassion and I realize I was right. Eve is dying and these forums suck. If OP won't biomass his character then I will biomass mine for my own peace of mind.

I now know why people keep pulling the same tired scams in local day in, day out.

Apparently this game is chock full of people who will believe anything if it is repeated often enough.

Put yourself in his supposed situation, take a couple of seconds to apply common sense and figure out how to deal with it, and then ask yourself why you believe his story again.

Then look over a few of the threads from people that are pissed off because CCP won't permanently delete their accounts, credit card information, etc. and have raised all kinds of hell about it.

Makes a lot more sense now, doesn't it...

You don't take those people seriously, do you?
These are the Eve Forums, they're more crowded with scum and villainy than the Mos Eisley Spaceport.

Just put the little kid on your ignore lists and keep checking in with your boy from time to time, to see if the pathetic little dim one tries to circumvent your measures in some way.

I don't see how the butt-hurt kid could really "hunt you/your boy down", without wasting valuable resources on it. And considering how childish that person is acting, his attention span won't be the longest one anyways, and he will eventually lose interest in you.

okay see now that one would have deserved a dislike...

@ OP I say what you do is poke at the guy threatening you and goad him into making worse and worse threats with which CCP can get behind getting rid of him over.

And of course make sure to take note where the logs are (default saved to Documents/EVE/logs/chatlogs) and keep the mails and maybe even take screenshots of him making said threats in a channel and etc

Give CCP more ammo to work with

ya so they cant say "the logs... they show nothing"

NO RL threats at all. Only ones for EVEonline. I dont have anything against him playing the game either. One apology and he wont be ganked or wardecced or any other means of Piracy within New Eden, i personally hold no grudge against the man IRL

and again I only play EVEOnline and runescape and i only play runescape cause i'm a player mod, I persoanlly have been blocked from you for over a year..... You have heard nothing from me

"Am I overreacting a bit?... probably. It is seriously creepy when someone is willing to jump from game to game to "hunt you down" and your son reads a threatening email about someone wanting to kill you. " and read the mail, shalo said that he will kill you ingame,. he specifically mentioned not corp jumping. THerefor no threats have been taken into IRL. its all Ingame, all stopped for an apology.. the fact your son seenit is your own problem, not CCPs not mine. im sorry your case is ****. esspecially since Zanziba'ar is the only character on this account therefor proving my point that they are two others and so you should have blocked them
