You're Doing It Wrong

Well I say PvP, I won't be roaming in this thing. I base out of Wormhole space (so im rich as fuuk), so when I get a low sec connection with a pirate camp or something on a high sec gate or something similar....

Thoughts? (in b4 "you're doing it wrong")

(to be used with Legion links and an exile booster)....

7149dps tank o/l
1117dps dished out
77+13km damage projection with scorch (and ewar immunity with bastion - because fuuk you falcon)
double med neut
large smartie
24km web
16k scram
MJD just cos....

oh ok, i now realise this idea was RIDICULOUS. I dont know what i was thinking. Sorry about that.

The Kronos does the same job much better...

slightly better tank, more dps, more drone space and bandwidth AND a tracking bonus (exactly the same fit).

See you later im off to Jita.

Sounds good, I'd recommend you bring this to Black Rise lowsec. Oh, and pimp it up more, go for X-type reps or officer would be better.

Hell, forego the Bastion altogether and fit a Vindi! No fear mate.

The premise of a p v p marauder is certainly an amusing prospect. Use it as the ultimate bait. Keep friends 1 jump out. Fit vamps as well as neuts

OP go for it. with support a pally or a kronos are deadly. everything obviously dies, but a navy-fit kronos is only 2 - 2.3bil, not that much, just a lil bit more then a couple of fleet t3s.

Just dont solo in it, bring at least 2-3 friends. You need dedicated tackle, additional dps like istar, and probably an ecm boat of some sort to make it interesting in low sec. wont catch anything interesting by yourself, will only get cornered and blobbed.

I'd say you're reasonably safe to ignore haters, TBH. If you don't mind risking (and losing) the ship then I say go for it. Just make sure you fraps it because it could be ******* awesome when you totally dominate some big ass gate camp in a marauder.

Also: Amarr Victor. Stick with the Pally. ;-)

One of my Corpies used one to melt a bunch of site runners Logi while we were ganking the things are beastly especially when brought in last as the heavy hitter for a fleet.

Oh, Do go on... no seriously ive got nothing better to do then listen to all the petty arguments and feeble trolling attempts...

The sad thing is i'm not sure if i'm telling the truth.

Your fit is pretty solid however I would use HG slaves along with the links and booster. You will definitely need a cloaky scout to pull anything meaningful off. Word to the wise stay away from neut domis or anything of that nature and fraps that **** yo Twisted

That is not really a problem. Unless the opposition is entirely failfit/clueless/unarmed at 20 to 1 odds a lone ship does not stay in the fight and win.

OP if you are really dead-set on using something like this then go for the fit below. You will shave off about half a bil, have a better tank and some more juice to work with.

I fully support the use of marauders as low-sec dreads.

But just like dreads, remember to bring support. A small gang of ABC's sitting 100 km off with inty support will ruin your day.

A few alliance mates have started using marauders just like you suggest in lowsec and it is working well, and no i dont know their fits but I would assume it is along the idea that you have.

Just be aware that you will die when some of the more titandrop heavy alliances get wind of you... but.. who cares you dont undock a ship like that and expect it to live all that long but to have a blast doing it

Seems really weak against any type of logi, assuming the logi are smart enough not to sit in neut range. Solo, your really going to struggle to break even a pair of logi repping from range.

Medium neuts are a poor replacement for heavy neuts.

If you're going to run a Paladin, go with a double eanm setup instead of hardeners. Even with links you get a beautifully even resist profile thanks to the native t2 resist.

I also prefer a high EHP setup with one rep instead of a dual rep setup, but that's personal preference.

edit: whoa forums are messing up, i have no idea how that thread even showed up

No sig.
