And a sale on the CE. Sounds like someone needs some cash for development. Should we get excited?

Was stupid enough to think the subscription/P.L.E.X. sale on Amazon would run through Christmas... Can't believe I missed that.

How often do either of those (or game/time cards, something I've recently come across) go on sale? Amazon and the EVE website are the only two places I know that have had them on sale before. Come to think of it, they're the only two retailers who sell them, as far as I know.

If I ever saw CCP Falcon's character in real life I think I'd politely ask him to kick my ass just so I could brag about it.

CCP has been in money-grab mode since Q2 2013.

It's as if they were counting on having a certain income from a certain source (*cough* DUST 514 *cough*) and instead of that they had a money pit, and to top it off they were investing on other previously unscheduled projects.

People tend be a little bit more willing to part with their cash around christmas (both before, during and after).

And some people of the younger variant might even get an external infusion of cash at the same time.

It would be regarded as complete and utter fail for any commercial entity not do what they can to get hold of as much of that cash as they can.

CCP Greyscale: As to starbases, we agree it's pretty terrible, but we don't want to delay the entire release just for this one factor.

Internet forums are a strange place for conspiracy nuts to congregate, since big brother is watching and all, and yet here we find another one. Businesses have sales because they actually bring in more profit than is lost to the price reduction. This is especially true with perishable items(which PLEX are, since they can only be used once). People naturally want to save money, but they also tend to spend more when they feel they're getting a deal.
