Observation. People have been saying 'whs are dying' for far longer than this subforum existed (its exactly the same with any other area of the game btw):
Farmers were supposed to kill whs - they clearly didnt.
Logoff ganking was supposed to kill whs - it clearly didnt.
Dropping activity was supposed to kill whs - go check killboards.
Dropping population was supposed to kill whs - population increased instead (except C6 space).
Massive multi-hole alliances were supposed to kill whs - disintegrated.
Giant coalitions of permanent blues were supposed to kill whs - gone too.
Concentration in massive corporations was supposed to kill whs - instead we have bunch of new groups showing their muscles as some of the old ones ran out of steam.

All we see are just short term ebbs, flows and fads. But people keep screaming about end of the(ir) world over and over again. So instead of impossibly trying to prove the negative, I'd like to see something that actually demonstrates that whs are in fact dying.

So, because you observed it, it's true? (true that it's not true I guess). And because people have beens aying it for a long time, it's true? I think it's an issue of semantics. You take "whs are dying" literally to mean that player occupation will cease to exist, which will not happen. I take it to mean the space will stagnate, which is what I observe everyday.

C4 static, it's a barren ******* wasteland. Everyday there is either farmers or nothing, and of those farmers I rarely see any online and have only ever gotten 2 fights out of them. I've been in at least one C4 everyday for nearly a year.

With my interpretation:

Farmers are killing wormholes - yes, all they do is farm and get farmed.
Logoff ganking - is a consequence of farming
Dropping activity - is a consequence of lack of content
Dropping population - population has not increased, also consequence of dropping activity
Massive multi-hole alliance - disintegrated because ineffective
Giant coalitions of permanent blues - gone because of previous
Concentration in massive corporations - out of steam because too big

You just listed a bunch of cause and effect relationships without even identifying that's what they were, and all directly related to the claim that wormhole space is dying. You'd be better off arguing that wormhole space checks itself than claiming those things were never a problem in the first place. Wormhole space isn't dying or stagnating, but it has less people (as we used to drive our own out at a rate new blood couldn't compete with) who are more centralized (as new blood and former new blood join the big boys). This isn't ebb and flow, there is no cycle, and people "screaming about the end of their world" are not getting the content they used to. You could say they've observed it.

These perpetual fears and predictions are simply contradicted by facts.

Observation does not a fact make.

There's nothing worse than an EVE player, generally considered to be top of the food chain in the MMO world, that cannot smacktalk with wit and coherency.

So you basically admit that your own assertion is baseless. Nice... but you should have mentioned earlier that you're just pulling crap out of your arse, less time would be wasted.

Wormhole space isn't dead. It's just not a lazy man's playground. You can't sit around and expect **** to fall into your lap. Get off your ass and scan. You will be surprised how many people are out there.

Also, Winthorp and his boyband are going on tour. Support the cause and buy tickets.

It's all very simple, really.

Wormholes don't have locals and therefore people living there aren't battle-hardened by the local trolls. In return it means that wormhole people are very sensitive to trolling and easily upset by words.

Makes baseless claims.
Ridicules other baseless claims.
Yes.

I made claims based on observation and under no illusion they are facts. I stated as much. Some of my observations are in direct contradiction to yours, so I asked for evidence for your "facts"(you know, cuz you said your claims were facts). You had none, because they weren't facts. They were observations. Observations aren't facts, they are observations.

While I patiently wait for population statistics, I'm not convinced by your claims. In fact, I think they're asinine. I cannot prove it nor have claimed to prove it, because I know what facts are. These are just my observations.
