i been watching 100's of videos on youtube of pvp, mostly solo pvp or 2's

and in their video's they either have 1 cap booster or 2 cap boosters (1 shield booster) or 2 armor repairer > depending on the ship they are using..

anywho...

i see they are using some kind of container in there cargo hold (small or medium container) and in the contairner they got more cap booster "ammo"

does this tactic still work in todays pvp? or has stuff like that been nerf?

and if so, can someone explain why and how this is working?

acually if it still works or doesn't work i would love to know everything about this tactic..

thanks!

I know some containers have more space in them then they take up:

Small 100 m3 120 m3
Medium 325 m3 390 m3
Large 650 m3 780 m3
Huge 1500 m3 1950 m3
Giant 3000 m3 3900 m3

so if you squeeze 3 100 m3 small container in your 300m3 cargo hold, you would have expanded it to 360m3 :)

Still works as far as i know ;)

It still works and you can get extra cap boosters by doing that.

Probably would have been quicker to have bought a couple of containers and tried it out rather than watching 100's of videos on youtube.

Yes, my head looks like a bollock. Why? Because I refuse to participate in more poorly designed and implemented CCP fluff until they have fixed the many ongoing issues in FW.

Stop wasting development time on stuff that doesn't affect gameplay please CCP

You definitely mad bro

I happen to notice them using containers WHILE watching those video's...

Other thing to remember, not all cap boosters are created equal.

a standard Cap Booster 800 user 32 m3 of space but a Navy Cap Booster 800 uses 24 m3 allowing you to hold more, coupled with use of cans, this can make a significant difference to your cap in a drawn out engagement.

Something else to keep in mind with this tactic is that you cannot reload a cap booster module directly from a can. Therefore, you need to leave enough room in your cargohold for a stack of boosters. As you use that stack up, you then go into your can and pull them manually into your cargohold (yes during the fight).

It does give a few more cap boosters but requires more management in the middle of the fight.

The price of moving cap boosters may not be worth it for most people / situations.
