200fps all the way up to 400 fps O-o?

This cant be rights, i feel my computer is malfuctioning at these FPS..... whats going on with this game? lol

My comp specs,

Asus Crosshair V Mobo
AMD FX-8350 OC to 4.61ghz
GTX 670 FTW OC alittle bit
16 Gigs 1600hz ram
SSD..blah blah blah

My specs arent something spectacular so why am i getting these crazy ass FPS? it doesn't seem stable. I don't know if its related but my windows disapeard one time when i moused over them and then the screen flashed and they came back.

okay so im right, something is up. I just shot down to 10 fps, i alt tabed then went back in and it went back to 300 fps, wtf is goin on!

oh im running it on Win 8.1 is there a compatibility issue?

EvE will run at very high framerates in low load. FPS will drop when you alt-tab because the window loses focus. Best enable Vsync or limit framerate because it's less than ideal for your video card to be pegged at 100% while running 400+ frames

ESC > Graphics settings
Interval one (default) is like vsync
Interval immediate is unlimited fps rendering

Well this is as I understand it. Interval immediate is what can melt video cards.
