Christmas 2011 was pretty much a further continuation of Incarna related apologies and incentive to return
Christmas 2012 was a number of historical items in the months leading into the 10th anniversary of the game as CCP was already eagerly in high spirits preparing for the formal celebration. The culminated with the gnosis so far as gifts, but wasn't isolated to it.

Smaller the shuttle is, but probably more functional in that ship classes role than any other Christmas gift ship. As such, I can't say they really skimped, nor do I mind what was effectively "stocking stuffer" style gifts leading up to it.

... well considering that before I used to use shuttles to zip in and out of losec all the time. Never had a problem. And that's a basic shuttle. Ok in theory someone could certainly tweak a cruiser or whatever for max lock speed, but then they sacrifice the all important DPS and tank. No one I ever saw went that route, and I don't blame them. Besides, only ten year old "lulz" nitwits would even care in the first place.

Now multiply that by "Leopard" and again, as I said before, you're a ghost. They'd have better luck trying to tag a covert ops ship.

And Jita? It's a shuttle, not a freighter. You're getting your ships confused.

Rancer? Maybe, but I honestly don't give a crap about Rancer so who cares?

Oh, and this is the part where you try to convince me that you're actually just the alt of some uberskilled Titan pilot with trillions of ISK and quadrillions of SP who's seen, done and knows everything about everything.

Well kids, I'm not a pro. And that's my point. These things are simple. So simple, in fact, that even a novice like me can pull it off. So spare us the e-peen ego trip. This is EvE and there's always a bigger ego than yours out there who can spout even more bragging BS about how leet they are.

This isn't about leet. This is about running like a bunny and not getting caught. And the Leopard is very, very good at this. So I like it.

Unlike nullsec, where bots guard the gates 23/7 in task forces specifically designed for every contingency (read: catching anything that moves, regardless of size) your typical losec pirate gate camp does not. So long as you stay away from FW hotspots or some nullsec group "projecting force" into losec, you'll probably never see anyone who bothers with RSB.

Your typical pirate is profit motivated. Shuttles are not known for cargo space, so unless the cargo is rare blueprints or cybernetics, the odds of it carrying anything of value are even smaller than it running into a gatecamp equipped to catch it. That only leaves the moronic "lulz" types who shoot at everything on reflex and frankly they usually lack the brainpower to think of such things as RSBs in the first place.

So while I'm not saying your wrong, I am going to say that your counter is like saying that a single generic T1 universal ECM module can jam a T2 battleship. Yes, it can happen, but so what? It falls into the category of "odds too small to care."
