Hi,

im invovled in FW but invetiably sometimes I end up fighting pirates. and sometiems i get a security standing hit.

Is there any way to gain security status except doing missions?

i only fly frigates at the moment if that helps.

thanks

You can buy Tags of the market / hunt low-sec belts for the rats that drop said tag.

Then turn them in at CONCORD stations for security.

The clone soldier rats can be killed in a T1 frigate, it will just take a very long time.

If you can fly a T1 pretty well, you should consider training for an assault frig, this will kill them with a bit more efficiency and still have plenty of ability to GTFO if anyone shows up.

You can also kill regular belt rats or do anomalies in Null for a sec boost.

Let them attack first so you dont get a security status loss? I do it at times but usually when Im certain to have an advantage in matchup.

Not recommended, especially for someone who is 11 days old.

The rats you're looking for are only in 0.1 systems. 1 tag will take you from -0.5 back to 0.

Get in close asap and orbit 500 and they wont scratch a T1 frig. But you need hefty dps to break their active tank. I use a 500dps blaster Corm. Semi afk.

Having said that, the 0.4 and 0.3 system rats are a lot easier to kill, spawn more often and still give a hefty sec boost without cashing in the tags.

Your sec status won't tank too hard as long as you do not engage in illegal attacks on player pods. If you set your safety to yellow, the game will prevent you illegally attacking pods in lowsec, but you will remain able to illegally attack player ships and legally attack player pods. (Holding someone's pod ransom doesn't come up often, but you will still be able to do it on yellow as long as they shot back while you deshipped them).

I definitely do not encourage letting your opponent shoot first, even though that will remove all sec losses. It will cost you too many fights.

Jup, if you refrain from illegal podding sec status losses should be minimal, and can be solved by killing NPC rats with bounties (yes, those in missions do count). To be honest... I'd recommend a cheap cruiser to rat in 0.4 or 0.3 systems, any belt encounter can be killed rapidly with a semi-decent fit. It's the Battleships and Clone Soldier rats you want: aim to kill one every sec status tic. I usually just work up an anomaly untill it starts to spawn battleships: then I kill one every 5 minutes while doing some other stuff (chatting, procrastinating) and see my sec stat soar up. Doing a little PVE never hurt anybody... Cool
