What is with all these suicide ganker whine threads?

Yes, there are many changes coming up in the new expansion that are going to affect the performance of a very large number of ships in the game. These changes are probably going to go a long way towards fixing some of the problems with combat in EVE caused by 18 months of stagnation. At the very least, they are going to cause the current fleet doctrines to be shaken up a bit, and people are going to rethink how they play the game.

What these changes do not make one bit of difference to, is how trivially easy it is to gank people who are being unattentive or just plain stupid in high sec. It is easy to kill you now, it will continue to be easy after the expansion. These changes may slightly alter the tactics that gankers use, but it really does not matter if they use a 50 mill isk hurricane, a 100 mill isk tempest, a 70 mill isk tornado, or a couple 1 mill isk thrashers to gank your 10 billion isk T1 hauler. It is still very profitable and very easy.

Hell, you guys are even getting your insurance pay out nerf; so please quit whining already.

Suicide ganking has been around since the beginning of EVE, and will continue to exist after the expansion. None of the changes to ships or insurance payouts are going to have any kind of noticeable effect on the frequency gankings.

what ganked people are complaining about is the fact that CCP have made suicide ganking even more easier. Yet nothing has been done to help gank victims in return.

insurance nerf is not going to stop gankers especially now destroyers are getting buffed... so with a 3mil isk fitted ship u can one shot a 220mil fitted ship. that hardly seems fair.... and also there is no way for anyone flying a t1 mining barge to fit a tank let alone one that can withstand a volley from a destroyer even before the destroyer gets the buff next week.

if ganker ships get a buff ccp need to also give mining barges and exumers a hp & mid slot buff too.

True, I almost forgot if you want to get some hp on your miner you have to sacrifice efficiency - not as if mining is very proitable to start with. I wonder why are people still doing it in the first place?
