Invention...are base items broken?

Its been couple years since I did invention. I sort of remember the EVE UI can be a bit picky about loading up all the things you want to use for invention jobs. So maybe I am forgetting one of those "tricks".

But currently I am trying to get an invention job for Tracking Enhancers running and every thing is in the same station hangar but...EVE seems to be refusing to recognize any of the meta 2-4 Tracking Enhancer modules I placed there for use as base items.

Did the revisions to module names or something break use of base items for some invention jobs?

Clue me in again.

Not as of a couple weeks ago when I last invented tracking enhancers

What's the exact name of the module you're using?
POS lab or station slot?

Just make sure it's in the mobile labs (if you use one), the right output hangar and that you have the right type. It's definitely not broken.

OP - this is totally upto you and your maths but its *probably* not worth dropping a meta 1-4 item on module invention jobs.
I've done some really stupid shit in this game.

Unless meta 4 is dirt-cheap, don't use meta items.

There are very few dirt-cheap meta 4.

Do the math.

For invention, the basic meta (meta 0) won't help, you need meta 1-4. The manufacturing of the T2 item is when you need the basic meta-0 item

Now with meta item costs built into the invention calculator, so you can see how skills and meta items affect the cost per successful invention.

Now, this doesn't include the time for the line itself, and how much a failed invention 'costs' you (it's taken up time you could have used for something else), but it does deal with the material costs.
