That would presume the previous state was any better. Nullsec hasn't been fun since around 2003.

Yes. Why use small squares rather than the full bracket? Or is it just an eyes-going-bad-with-age thing?

I can see he's using some full brackets.

You can set the little square to have a separate set of priorities - have negative standings priority in the little square, and suspect/-5sec priority in the full bracket.

I suppose, but I get that in the overview, and that's where I do all my target manipulation anyway. I guess having the same information duplicated on the brackets could be useful, but it seems to me to be part of a different work flow.

Nah since I can set them to have different priorities they don't have to convey the same information

I can tell the difference between a -10 red and a blinky -10 red on the overview, the little square also appears in the local channel listing

Yes, but I mean that the information shows up the same in the overview (since they're the same settings) so it's only a duplication of what's there.

I'm talking about the (lack of) difference between overview and brackets, not between tags and backgrounds.

i did occasionally, back during the fountain war, but that was on a friends laptop whos i was using because he gave MY laptop a virus, so i didnt care and secretly prayed it would catch fire and be sent to robot hell.
