I have it installed followed the steps one by one and when i start eve it shows it is tring to start but it does nothing. I am running intel video and have installed the drivers for it and if someone who knows what they are doing could message me that would be willing to teamview into my computer and help get it going that be great.

in console - glxinfo | grep "shading lang"

Are you running wine's latest version or are you running a vitrual box of windows?

Those are the 2 ways i know of to emulate windows. Personally i downloaded the client installer and it created a "link" on my desktop. Content is:

[Desktop Entry]
Name=EVE
Exec=env WINEPREFIX="/home/user/.wine" wine C:\\\\Program\\ Files\\ \\(x86\\)\\\\CCP\\\\EVE\\\\eve.exe
Type=Application
StartupNotify=true
Path=/home/user/.wine/dosdevices/c:/Program Files (x86)/CCP/EVE
Icon=F44D_eve.0

I don't know if that's any good or not. it just works for me. You may try typing those and making the file executable in properties.
