Baronia vi Vulnezia, State News Agency Presents: Breaking News from the Armada of Vulnezia.

The Commander-Admiral of the Armada of Vulnezia Viktor Spitzeus, reports a co-operation with the Grand University of Vulnezia. A once secret project that has been years in the making, pooling all of the great minds of Vulnezia and her proud people. The Admiral has made an official, State sanctioned announcement at the golden steps of the Royal Palace in Arbelia.

“Ve have completed the first testing of our latest Veapon system, the Depth Charger. It is used vit the latest scanning technology of Vulnezia ve call the Depth Prober. Our research ship has successfully used the Depth Prober to find a cloaked vessel in nearby space and then vit the Depth Charger ve vere able to damage the un-cloaked vessel rendering it unable to dive into stealth again. That is all for now, long live the Baroness.”

A spokesman for the Vulnezian Armada confirmed reports of naval testing activity in a remote section of the Kor-Azor system just days before the Admirals announcement.

We spoke to a representative for the Amarr Imperial Navy and he said if this technology can be further developed it will be revolutionary in combating Stealth Bombers and other cloaked vessels. There was no indication how long it would take before the counter-stealth systems would be ready for use. These were the first tests and it is hoped more testing and funding for this technology would be forthcoming.

There is no question that if anyone can develop this great technology it is the brilliant scientists and leaders of the Barony of Vulnezia.

Long live our dearest leaders Baroness Vulna and Empress Jamyl

Paid for by the Vulnezia state news agency and the Armada of Vulnezia.

Vulnezia is a small state on Kor Azor Prime. It has a small Navy, called the Armada of Vulnezia, which is tasked with serving the Amarr Imperial Navy and protecting it's own state interests.

The accent of the good Doctor in this statement makes me unsure whether to refer to the Baroness as Vulna or Wulna.

For the first time since I started the conversation, he looks me dead in the eye. In his gaze are steel jackhammers, quiet vengeance, a hundred thousand orbital bombs frozen in still life.

Is not this the kind of Tec that is normally kept classified?

Hoax. Until it appears in use, it's propaganda as far as I'm concerned.

I was really hoping no one was going to entertain this thread. I was avoiding posting but now someone did so I can point out the pointlessness in posting to you now that its been done.

Am I 'cool' now?

The early prototypes have already been around for years.

I'm familiar with the proximity issues of cloaks, yes. I don't think I need to point out the obvious technological gap between Goonmines and a system that can supposedly scan down and target a cloaked ship. Proof is needed.

Dunna, with that smile the Baroness may have killed and eaten the last person who got her name wrong...

I suspect that the DED's going to have a thing or two to say about this, considering that first, they already have the tech (and it's no secret they do, either), and second, I doubt they want it in the hands of anyone else.
