We've heard reports that people lost the connection to voice servers so this affected more than EVE. EU players mostly stayed online, this was most likely in the NA transit handoff of the provider that is experiencing issues.

Completely Inaccurate,, my fleet all DCed and TS£ was unaffected.

Login was connecting to server and then black screening.

It looks very much like a server issue rather than a "3rd Party".

Petitions are in, please replace ships lost, as they should be.

just because YOU didn't have a disruption in other services doesn't mean there wasn't one.

Tedium and difficulty are not the same thing, if you don't realize this then STFU about game design.

I believe what he is asying is that its an inaccurate statement as we were immediately able to reconnect to the server however upon selecting our toons we were greeted with greeted with a black screen allowing us to progress no further.

Log is problems, black screen, mass dc, other pilots across eve getting traffic control, loading grid times spike, all points to servers. I mean relogging was typical of server issues, had all the usual symptoms. nothing else.

If it was a major internet provider problem it will be reported in news external to eve, as it would presumably have affected many businesses and private individuals not playing games.

You are a cabbage.

Unfortunately, due to the nature of this game, it doesn't take long to become an end user expert in teh server connection issues, we have seen them all before, and this was a very suspicious sausage of an incident.

Now go grow somewhere with more light, and wash the caterpillars off.

if you would have read this thread earlier.. i am a software engineer that specializes in networking and security for distributed computing.

This is very indicative of two things

A) networking issues

B) traffic control = many users logging on all at once = load spike

Tedium and difficulty are not the same thing, if you don't realize this then STFU about game design.

I logged in and an Eidolon was yellowboxing me.

And then I was alpha'd so hard my pod died with my ship and I lost 20 million skillpoints.

Enjoying the rain today? ;)

Yep if it wasn't some outside networking or ISP issue my whole internet would not have been down for 2 mins at each of the two disconnects I've had at the same time as everyone else.

Location: Central Texas.

I don't live on that continent... why did I disconnect two times, each with a seperate connection?

Yeah if you hover over the dots it highlights the regions affected which is a surprising chunk of the globe.

Nanites?
