no company can reach 100% uptime.

ccp is doing a great job imo. keep in mind its a changing and growing system, but not an envoirement that only gets bugfixes for years.

I'm amazed at how fast Jita ramped back up. I always figured more than half of Jita was AFK at any given time...

I'm a software engineer that specializes networking and security for distributed computing....

NO redundancy scheme is fool proof. Considering how short that outtage was.. primary probably died and it took a minute for automatic switch over to backup to take place.

Tedium and difficulty are not the same thing, if you don't realize this then STFU about game design.

It was really odd to see Jita only at the 751 capacity on a weekend not directly after DT! Lol

Sorry for the delay in responding, we've been investigating this problem. Smile

It was a third party ISP issue that caused the loss of connection that you guys experienced, which is completely outside our control sadly.

Tranquility is healthy, and hasn't experienced any issues at all. The cause for this disconnect was a third party networking issue that seems to now be resolved. You should all be able to connect again just fine.

Sorry for any trouble the surprise outage may have caused. Smile

thnx falcon, thought it would be something like that cause not everybody got kicked off so couldn't be much of a connection issue

Hi, how many people were affected, if you have that number? Also, do you know if this networking issue only caused issues with Eve Online or did it cause problems for other people as well? During my discon, I was able to get connect to everything except eveonline.

Thank you in advance for any more information on this matter--I was about to have my first non-solo experience in being in a gang when this happened.

We've heard reports that people lost the connection to voice servers so this affected more than EVE. EU players mostly stayed online, this was most likely in the NA transit handoff of the provider that is experiencing issues.

Disconnected in whole Europe after relog 3 minutes later, back in pod from my 2.3bil Vargur.

Got 30k dmg from 3 BS with full shield and bastion modus on hope i will get my ship back
