best way to spend 60-90 mins on EVE?

Hello I am not really new in eve , but I stopped played a couple of years ago and I am starting over. A while after I stopped eve I got a gilfriend , and she is not very gaming friendly so I have to find gaps here and there.

My plan is... mine semi afk while study, plus planet stuff.
Play properly every now and then, but It cant be more than 90 mins, two or three times a week.
What would you do? I would like to try some fun pvp but I have never been good (finding it and then executing it) . I cant afford to wait for ages for a battle to show up.
One thing is sure, I dont want to run misions or any kind of heavy PVE.

Join faction warfare, usually find someone to fight or make lp from plexing. That or do exploration with a cov ops or nullified cloaky t3 out in null. You could move to syndicate also and try life out there.

If you want near instant PvP.

Look at faction warfare or RvB.

No experience with FW.

But with RvB. Its as simple as undocking and finding a target. Or many times there is just a fleet up and running you can join in for the time you have.

But the best way to play 60 to 90 minute....enjoy every second you have.

day 1. explore in low with cov-op for 60- 90 min --> ~60-120 mil + sell the loots

day 2. fix the planets PI + experiment in fits in 3rd party software (it is also fun!) + buy 50 frigs and fits+ place courier contracts to the closer to FW space hiSec station.

day 3. blow all the ships up

repeat from day1.

Easy - change girlfriend ;)

But seriously - Factional Warfare or RvB.

And girlfriends become more game friendly when you make more money then they are so study hard ;)

I vote for Faction Warfare, i am restricted with time a lot too and it's very easy to find solo fights there, I am sure you will enjoy it.

I disagree

This.

CCP Greyscale: As to starbases, we agree it's pretty terrible, but we don't want to delay the entire release just for this one factor.

Well you just mentioned afk mining as a goal. I guess I should add you as a target. No hard feelings.

Faction warfare might be a good fit if your impatient, and the money is good even when you don't find fights (you might need it to replace those mining ships). Griefing is also fun, and can conform to your schedule though wardecs and hunting individual targets might be out as options. PI and trade are probably better money makers than mining for a semi-afk play style.

You do PI? Do it in lowsec, and pirate the system you do it in. Rat up some ISK, tags and sec while nobody is looking.

^ This is a good use of your time, also scan FW plexes and pick up a few kills along the way. FW missions are also a good place to catch unsuspecting victims.

The only reason I keep playing Eve is because the people I play with are fun. Find a corp that's casual, and when your on do whatever you want and talk to your corpies.... that's pretty much the reason to play an MMO over x3 or xReunion...

The best way is quite subjective to say the least. I will tell you imo, the best way would be some form of pvp, preferably in either a small frigate gang or solo frigate roam. But then I still have over 200 frigates I need to explode. Look at joining a corp such as RedvsBlue, Eve Uni, and of course Brave Newbies. While in the end, it is your own responsibility to find content you enjoy, each of those corporations offer newbies plenty of content to chew on for a while.

Any girlfriend that does not let you have your own interests and hobbys is not worth the trouble. She deserves the same freedom btw. You must be very young.

About what to do for 90 mins don't know but do it in a Dominix and put some dominator memory in your rig..

Reopen the EVE gate so we can invade Serenity. Goons can go first.

This. Why choose to be miserable just to be comfortable?

I believe the word you might be hunting for is "prioritization". Prioritizing game time over a real life relationship may not go over well for some whereas others will put such things as video games first. He didn't state whether this is the only issue she may have (some folks do get picky about "being around" while you're too busy with "a video game" to spend time with them...)

Remember that most start with a girlfriend and eventually wake up with a wife & family so keeping ones longer term RL options open, when it's simply video game time (vs other activities), isn't a problem for many to set aside as a lesser consideration.

As for the OP: It's looking at what you enjoy in the game and how you wish to remain active in it.

-- PvP - the RvB and FW paths are good. You can usually dump out of it in an hour or so if something comes up (or someone comes in)

-- PvE - mining and PI might work but you might also look at such things as market trading and/or researching and manufacturing. The latter of these are fairly quickly and easily set aside at a moments notice.

-- Mixed PvE and PvP: Exploration. You can usually, with ease, log off in space with a covert ops ship if an interruption comes up. It's at your convenience and exploring wormholes, lowsec and nullsec provide a variety of opportunities.

It's all up to you on what path you choose.

True, the teenagers and stay at home dads may forget what it's like to juggle Irl and gametime ( admittedly as teenagers don't do anything Irl but still).

Some verry good suggestions here, I'd recommend loosing sleep and play eve instead, that way you can do whatever you wantCool

Thanks to the last posters for adding a bit of common sense. Yes I have a long term relationship with her, I has been two years since I moved in with her.... and it was me who decided I had to stop playing for a while. I wish she was more gameplay friendly but well. That is life.
I am happy I have some external control, I still remember when I played 16 hours and then daydreamed about EVE at work, it was interesting but not really that healthy. Roll
I am reactivating my main account , and being this a trial alt it does not make sense to keep going with the character and then paying too much money to transfer this 250k LP character over.

Gank miners. It's what I do when I don't have time to invest in infiltrating a corp and AWOXing it or stealing things.

Four to six ganks in a 90 minute playsession is possible. And you can organise all of your logistics and ISK making (via trading and/or manufacturing; I recommend mining equipment as you know there will be a demand for it) while in station between ganks.

I support the New Order and CODE. alliance. www.minerbumping.com

iv a pair of 3yo twin boys , so while i can sit and get my forumworrior on ,
im somewhat restricted in what i can do in-game,
i dont have much more time than yourself to actually get any eve going.
the only thing i can think of is sleep less and make friends with coffee i.e. real ground coffee,
