Hello guys,

I am fighting in Blood Raider space, and I am looking for the "best" subcap ship to do anoms and DED's in.
I can afford almost anything, and I have been using a few ships up to now:

Golem, both torp and cruise
SNI, Passive with cruise

The Golem I liked quite well, but I hate having to TP anything to get a decent hit.
And even with the Bastion up, MJDing right into the middle of things with torps I am taking a lot of damage.

Range tanking with cruises has had the most effect up till now, but I dont like the Golem as a cruise platform altogether.
and the SNI, awesome passive tank, but the damage application sucks...

The most straightforward thing I havent treid yet is the RNI, would this perhaps better suit my needs?
Long range tank, with good damage application against alot of ships. And some nice DPS?

Hoping people here could help me.

Missile skills, Shield skills and ship skills are as good as perfect, so Caldari BS5, Marauders 5 etc etc.

Hope this is enough info, if not I will be here to add where needed.

As long as you snipe the Navy Raven should be very good. The Navy Scorp is more of: "lets look what is going on here". Now that you know what is going on, the additional dps of Navy Raven is the way to go.

the point of the golem is to use rage torps with multiple painters and kill battleships in 3 shots. The EM damage and energy vamps from blood raiders might not make this the optimal style. Navy Raven seems like a good way to go. Is anyone else a little sad that the acronym "CNR" is falling out of use?

Never forget.

I liked CNR better aswell :P

EM Damage isnt that big of a deal, I am getting 80+% resist to both EM and Thermal.
Vamps are really annoying to any active tank though...

I have noticed this.. I still use "CNR" pretty regularly, and people seem to still know what I'm talking about, so I will carry the torch!

Navy Raven and Navy Scorp have the same damage at 8 effective launchers.

So does the normal Raven and the Golem.

Its not really about the paper DPS here, but more about the application of the damage..

Raven is fine against Blood Raiders. They have no damage beyond about 110km, so any ship that can hit from that range can be flown against Blood Raiders without tank. Raven works nicely because the longer range on the missiles allows you some space to kite out without having to crawl back into range for the next wave.

This is easy. Golem hands down for nullsec ratting missile boat.

1) Least ammo usage = makes 3-5 million per hour in savings, less ammo logistics.
2) Able to use torpedoes efficiently in several sites, or just plain old cruises with range tank and more pvp security.
3) Salvage and loot with good cargohold.
4) Able to switch for a DED soloing fit on the go if you get a juicy escalation.

EDIT:
The main comparisons are CNR and Typhoon/TFI, each of which gain some dps advantage over the cruise golem because of sentries. A case could be well made for Typhoon/TFI but those are quite tedious to fly compared to Golem.
