Yup, that's exactly how I read it.

Either you have: corp + personal display (including Aur)
Or you have: personal display (including Aur)

So either way there's no escape out of the annoying Aur-display. Hence me jumping to the conclusion that you want to force this on players, since the only real optional display here is corp wallet on/off. Either you're not very good at explaining, or I'm not very good at reading, but when I have now read your posts five-six times I still see that Aur is going to be a permenent display, no matter what?

you're either trolling me or really bad at readingBlink I suspect the first

I told Eladaris I did as he suggested, just read what he suggested.

Then I said that you'd see your personal and corp balance if you have access to it and then just your personal balance if you don't have access to corp balance. no AUR. as Eladaris suggested.

If I may, to be perfectly clear... Aurum will be an optional display, correct?

Nope, you'll have to open your wallet to see the Aurum balance - sorry.

Actually, you were wrong (this time).. I did read your response to him, but I only glanced through what he posted. After all, he's just a player and his opinions are quite irrelevant to me. P

Either way, nice to have it cleared up, and a big thank you for getting rid of the Aur, finally. It's been a nuissance for a long time for me and some friends, and to be fair, I never thought I'd see this day coming, after suggesting having it removed and/or optional so many times.

Two things to add: a) good of you to keep responding and/or reading this thread, that's something CCP could do with alot more, and b) in general, when you're changing stuff like this, the base rule is "more options is better". Players want to customize their clients to reflect their interests/appeals, so if you're editing displays and tools.. add optional displays, if you can.

Cheers

I was also just teasing you a bit Blink

Player opinions do matter though, I've often done stuff pointed out by players..

..and I have to disagree with you on the "more options is better" - sometimes you don't really need to have options to customize ALL THE THINGS, that just makes the UI more complicated and less usable.

Anyways, glad we agree on other stuff though - fly safe!

CCP Punkturis, what is the possibility of sneaking into the expansion the request for a pop-up red flag or other such icon over your hud any time you are warp scrambled/ ecm'ed/ TP etc.?

Seriously, I got my wish for drag-and-drop organising of your targets, and if I could get this request, I will have your baby.

if I wasn't a guy.

Its the thought that counts.

It's a bit late now for adding new features, but post this in Soundwave's little things thread (I linked it somewhere earlier) and it might get on BFF's backlog.

Related to aurum tool-tip thing: I know it's too late for this patch, but perhaps for next patch, (have option to) remove aurum function from wallet completely (unless there is a balance). Most people I know have no NEX stuff, and abhor MTs, so we don't really want to see that currency anywhere near eve, especially after the MTs crisis in June.

In the items window in station. Please put a "repackage and stack all" button on the bottom of the window.

No, don't.

Maybe a stack all button would be nice, but repackaging "everything" would be a PITA, especially if you store things in GSCs. If there were an option to skip containers, I'd be cool with that. Also, if you have your UI setup so that ships and items appear in the same window, the "repackage everything" would also suck when you have to re-fit your ships.

However, it would be nice that when you drag stuff from one container/hold to another container/hold without the second hold window open, the items automatically get stacked. For instance, when I'm out with the Noctis, when emptying holds into a station container, after 4 or 5 runs, the error of the holds only being able to hold 1,001 items becomes a pain when at most when doing L4 missions you get roughly 700 unique items. If I were to have my station items window open with the salvage container on screen (Not open) then drag all items (stacked or not) into the salvage container, when deposited, the salvage container gets stacked.

The corporation wallet tooltip definitely shouldn't replace the personal one, it should instead be an option to show BOTH personal and corporation. Being able to see the corp wallet balance at a glance will come in very handy, but not at the expense of being able to see my own.

So very much this. I'd imagine the average person who cares about their personnel wallet and corp wallet don't really give a rip about their AUR balance.

It's a meh'ish change, I guess, for corp alts... or people who just use the corp wallet as their own, but couldn't you remove the useless AUR hint and make it list personnel + corp?

Wallet Balance [ALT-W]
ISK amount
Corp Balance
ISK amount

A change like that would take the same four lines, and be vastly more useful to most everyone.

or just display the whole thing? corp, personal and aur... then everybody should be happy (right there's no such thingP)

I'd say skip AUR. Its not essential information, and when you go to use it, you have to be staring at the appropriate market windows anyways. You don't collect AUR via missions, or fleet battles, or market transactions, so, seeing that in the popup is a waste of space.

If you really want to make everyone happy, make that popup "customizable". Always show personal, optionally (and separately) show corp and AUR.

Good suggestion Rixiu about the AUR.

One little pet annoyance I have had is when you look at the ship skills - it only states it cannot be trained on trial accounts, it doesn't say how training the skill will improve your ships functionality, either in percentage or specifically.

That would be because the skills are shared amongst different items of relevance. To see how a skill is affected on ships, you look at the ships description and view its description. ALL ships have their bonuses in plain english.

Can I also mention about the message you get when you are about to dock - getting TOWED ffs. If that were the case - can I SEE a tug come out of the station and tow me in.
If that is to hard too do - how about saying "Hold on while we teleport you into a spare hanger"

Affects immersion for me

This would become a serious bore after a while, as cool as the thought is. its the same representation as what WiS was about, and all the hub-ub that ensued when we were forced to go WiS or stare at a door. Going with WiS mode just meant more time spent loading graphics, rendering them, etc, only to see the back of your person to re-launch a few seconds later after you were done switching ships, dropping/picking up cargo, etc.

Time is of the essence. Would be neat to see a tug come out, but, it'd never be used due to time constraints, especially if you're in a war.

- Allow us to put multiple passed votes into effect simultaneously if multiple passed votes are selected before issuing command.

This request would address the issue of wanting to move offices, but being unable to because you've managed to lock down some 800+ BPOs over the years and don't want to get carpal tunnel going through the 2400+ mouse clicks (and miles of scroll wheel usage) currently required to unlock them all prior to unrenting the office in question.

THIS THIS THIS THIS!!!

Its a serious pain to move stations even with the 50 or so BPOs we have and we want to move stations. Vote every single item in at once is a serious pain. CTRL-A, VOTE TO LOCK/UNLOCK, SUBMIT, and all are put in ONE vote!

EDIT: And sorry for the multi-posts. Sessions seem to time out when I do multi-copy/pastes into one reply when reading through larger threads. ;)

make it so when you are using the search option it shows the most common options

E.G

system
character
alliance

and then everything else.

It's a minor annoyance but i always hate having to scroll down the list when I'm trying to set the auto pilot to a system.
Shouldn't be too hard :D

Dutchess Punk, like the guy above me said, THANK YOU for keeping up with this thread and replying to us on a regular basis. It's nice to see that a dev is spending time to listen to players and try to help get our minor papercuts addressed as soon as they can be.
I'm rather tempted to say you should try to pick up the Communications dev position because you'd probably be awesome at that, unlike a certain (previous?) ccp who didn't know when to humble himself
