Gallente Federation Strategy for Defeating TEST Revealed

Here, I, Luminaire General X Gallentius, will outline the Federation Militia's efforts for defeating the former 0.0 Alliance known as Test Alliance Please Ignore, or simply TEST.

The Gallente Strategy for defeating any entity, whether the entire Caldari Militia, Ev0ke, Khanblob, TEST, is and has always been the same. First, as a capsuleer you must actually undock your ship and participate in this universe. Second, you must attack an opponent's center of gravity, and the difficult thing with TEST in this long difficult struggle was figuring out what their center of gravity was.

"Center On, not around!"

Our intel sources at first identified three potential 'centers of gravity' for TEST - 1) 'We don't care, we will lose massive numbers of ships for our cause!', 2) 'We achieve everything through Talwar blob', and 3) 'We fight only for the LP donated by the Caldari Authorities'." The trick was trying to figure out which one of these potential centers was in fact their real center of gravity. Their losses, in fact, were great. They did achieve lots of goals through their infamous Talwar blob, and they made lots of LP securing sites and missions non-stop for months.

However, as we engaged TEST in fights over the last couple of months, we found that none of these potential centers of gravity were, in fact, their real center of gravity. They did care - as evidenced by massive amounts of chest thumping and posting of propoganda throughout the universe. We even heard some of their chief donators say "We can't financially afford to keep losing this many ships!" from time to time. Their Talwar blobs were neutralized with our various tactics including Sniper Corms, Monitor Coraxes, heavily tanked Cruiser gangs. And finally, even after they achieved massive levels of LP, they were still in the warzone.

"The turtle, err, dinosaur has no clothes"

Finally, we figured it out. Their center of gravity was the art they posted in the universal local communications network. We tried to counter it, but being combat pilots we were no match for their nonstop drivel blotting out local. We lost many good pilots to their spam and it was not looking good for our side. Finally, however, we noticed what everybody else in the universe was afraid to say - their crown jewel, the are depicting a corporate dinosaur, is really an angry turtle. Once this truth out, there was no denying it. Not even the most loyal TEST member could hide from this fact.

Once they saw this, our intel says that they started questioning every other foundation of their alliance. Losing ships doesn't matter, but improving your pvp skills over time does matter. The cold, hard, fact was that TEST's pilots and FC's really hadn't improved over the two months in being in FW. Blobbing is not the best way to win in Faction Warfare. And, finally their members realized that they could make more isk/hour running L5 missions in Tamo than they could participating in FW.

So, here we are - with Fortress Eha still under Federation control - staring down a paper tiger with 10 times our number sitting docked up playing scrabble, or watching their news monitors in Innia. I suspect we will be here long after TEST leaves, but you never know. This is FW and many strange things have happened before and will happen in the future. Good day.

I should think all the Federation has to do is toss ISKoins at a certain other large alliance, yes?

Those who don't undock and participate in this universe criticize others on this forum who do.

Don't pout. At least I gave you some attention. It wasn't even particularly critical.

Still waiting for this 'strategy' to be revealed............

/me Goes back to rereading the statement thinking he might have missed it somewhere in the debate of turtle versus dinosaur.

It's clear that the strategy is to attack their center of gravity - in this case their mistaken belief that "turtle art" is a "corporate dinosaur". Once that belief was exposed as a lie, they fell apart.

So-- TEST has fallen apart because of your brilliant strategy of attacking them? Galnet sources indicate that their membership hasn't been reduced by any significant levels. Or did they, like many mercenaries before them, cash out after a successful campaign in the warzone, and decide to move on to different experiences?

Perhaps I can't read past the massive, fatuous ego here, but I feel as if I'm missing something.

It has been a hard lesson for TEST. There can be no "Cultural Victory" in a war against the cluster's foremost artistic critics.

Outstanding demonstration of how GalMil Intelligence operatives study their opponents and find weak points to exploit.

My faith in the never-ending and always-demanding job all Capsuleers who signed to fight on behalf of the Federation, is now higher than ever, great work to all, and specially to XG for giving a incredibly entertaining report on their war strategy.

The question now remains, will the turtle be slain, or will just suffocate in the starlight of Black Rise?

I'll contribute you this:

Defeat was in store long before the Gallente militia was exposed to TEST's integrity. Coming from a capsuleer who has walked the floors of mortals within bastion stations; from Nourvukaiken to Innia, from hanger staff to salvaged crew, subject experts drift all around whispering the inner-workings of industrial tigers like TEST whom they serve.

New names. Old news.

TEST is a entity, similar to our "pathetic" militia, only greater in size and victim to an even larger game.

And like the game we play, here within our different empires' borders, there is no victory. For the taste of victory is stained in that we're victim to the agenda of a greater power. That power, at least within my side, is the State.

But for TEST… or Goons, or Band of Brothers (before them), or even Fountain Alliance and Ascendant Frontier (in the very beginning from which I trace my roots), that power is CONCORD.

Forged by the Jovians to protect their investment and never once yielding a share in that power (despite a few scandals conducted with the once-thriving Band of Brothers), we try to fight and conquer stars in our name. But in the end we're conquering stars nobody wants.

NEVER will the State banner fly in Dodixie.

NEVER will the Federation banner fly in Jita.

NEVER will the TEST banner fly over Innia or any system outside of 0.0. Maybe for the State (repeatedly so, like the seasons), but never once will you see a State warship defend those systems' gates. Hell, even the Guristas and Serpentis care more for these systems than the empires do.

For immortals, we are strangely handed the scraps.

While some find appeal in still playing this game for CONCORD and the four empires, I personally just revoked my license. The game has gotten old. Reality has a funny way of offering a wake-up call to those who truly debate the extent of their success.

TEST is in a similar boat. An alliance that has always migrated between interests while seeking a purpose. Hidden under jokes and excuses for immature behavior, a large portion of them desiring to be regarded seriously by New Eden, I'm sure it is often their members face that same wake-up call.

It isn't the Gallente that is killing them off or neutering them recently. CONCORD and their very own Caldari State is. An alliance brewed for war being told to play a game rather than fight a war is sure to inevitably hurt in the long run… but the greater picture hurts far more.

After the high of thinking you're truly claiming something in your name is able to settle, you'll find you're just as equally in their boat. The day you claim the last system in your coalition's borders is the day you'll be rendered completely useless, denied of any opportunity to push inwards toward Jita.

For those are the rules of the game and even you will be held to following them.
