In my entire time playing EVE I've made less than 100m ISK, I've run missions, done PI, mined rocks in space, I've ****** around shooting belt rats, shot up haulers in lowsec and diving into null to find decent sites.

I don't know what the **** I'm doing wrong, i know that the intense world of market PvP is always available for people who are willing to spend the time and effort running their 0.001's.

Aside from just going out and buying a PLEX.

I've been living on donations from other players after 10 ******* days of playing every time I've come back to the game and i'm rather sick of it.

What do you enjoy doing?
Find that and then learn to excel in it.

I personally went into a c2 WH and farmed sleepers.

if i remember correctly i've got 5 million ISK when i joined my first player-owned corporation. Then they took me into lvl4 to show what is it (that was really amazing) and allowed to keep all loot from that site to myself. It was fortune: i've got like 20 million ISK!

Then i continued to run missions and .... Now i'm here with billions of ISK in wallet.

However i didn't participate in PvP for like 1st year of playing. Maybe this is the reason i made good starting capital to go to 0.0 and make billions? Lol

Maybe if CCP releases WiS one day, and lets me put up a PoS in JIta, it would be the best damn whorehouse in all of The Forge.

I'm sort of limited to what i can do that i enjoy, running decent missions or joining the faction for FW i want is stuck behind large money and rep walls that would take months of grinding for me to overcome

Running missions was fine but i was losing money, grinding the rep needed for the decent ones just takes too long

PvP pays good if you win enough. PvP in eve these days is blob or gank. So fit a cat go to Jita and ruin some noobs day. Crime pays in eve.

Until I'm on a negative sec status, permanently trapped out of highsec with no money and no way to actually do anything

You just have to pick something and stick with it. Doing a little bit of everything will just make you less effective at everything you do. (until you have more SP than you know what to do with)

If you don't want to grind up standings or do production exploration is a pretty good choice. It doesn't take much time to train for, its safe, easy, and cheap.

I've done that, gone everywhere from highsec to null and ended up with either less money than i started or a bunch of ******* carbon.

When I was EVE-young I've found out L1-3 missions have payouts nowhere near Sisters' of EVE introduction quests line. So I've rushed to L4s in Dominix with sentry drones - back then its cost was just 40mil (PLEX was a new thing and wasn't pushed down the throats of new players by 150-200mil T1 battleship hull prices).

Today faction warfare or low/null scanning must be profitable for new players (also turning you into PvP content). Maybe hi-sec salvaging (there are specialized corps - check "Missions" forum).

I think the issue with EVE is that pretty much 99% of the ways to earn isk are just plain soul destroying but tbh if you;ve only ever made 100mil then you are doing something wrong. Christ just doing forsaken hubs in 0.0 you can make 90-100mil an hour solo and that doesn't even include escalations.

Run lvl 4's they are good for 50-75 mil an hour probably more (haven't run any for years but I imagine they are still around this mark)
Join a 0.0 corp do your service and rat in the anoms and make even more.
Run one of the pirate faction epic arcs I think at the end of the Guristas one it gives you a ship bpc worth 175 mil or something.

Market trade I did a simple experiment and started with 25mil in Jita and at the end of the month I had 2 bill just buying low selling high on pokey items and even this I wasn't even trying to hard. Look in contracts sometimes you can snag a bargain. I think I bought a shirt for 200mill of a contract and a year later it's worth 1.2bil earning value just sitting in my hangar.

As I said plenty of way to make isk but unfortunately most of them are as pleasant as pulling your fingernails out.

God Said "Come Forth and receive eternal life!" I came fifth and won a toaster!

If you cant find something you enjoy and make money from it i don't like your chances of sticking around.

Well that's the ******* thing, I've spent more time grinding for rep then i have making money, i lost most of the sec status I've ever made in 5 minutes, i usually just come back once a year to see how the latest expansion is going and what all the current drama is.

Considering the average amount of my wallet is usually less than 20m ISK and i still don't have high enough reputation with any agent after days of grinding i don't really know why the **** I'm actually sticking around.

Whine whine, you don't actually play, stay away for a year and somehow magically expect isk to fall into your lap.

Perhaps you should just realise you're simply not smart enough and stick to WOW or Hello kitty online.

Whoever told you that is horribly wrong oO
I cant think of any more noob friendly way to make ISK than FW. Get yourself some cheap frigs, for 100mil you can get at least 30. Dont fit stabs and that ****, you dont need it.

Join a noob friendly FW corp, get those frigs near lowsec (Red Frog Freight will haul them all for 5 mil or so), go out, capture plexes, make lots of LP and learn to pvp in a frig. A friend of mine did that in his first week of EVE, he has never had ISK problems since then.

Edit: You will die though. You will lose your frigs. You wont win a fight before you´ve lost at least 10 and you slowly start to realize how stuff works. But who cares, your ships are super cheap anyway and your clone should be located nearby. You do need a kind of reckless, fearless mindset.

No, I grind for hours and hour, days and days, check my ****, oh look, ******* nothing, burn the **** out and give up, come back six months later and give it another try, you're just not getting it they said, it's fun once you get on your feet and figure out what your doing and I come crawling the **** back.

Maye I should just go back to WoW, I hear there are pandas and its becoming more like the vanilla, at least in WoW, I don't spend all ******* week grinding for a 0.01 rep increase
