How many skillpoints could a new character get total in 14/35 days?

So assuming you made a new character and gave him the Prototype Cerebral Accelerator (+9 all stats for 14 days) and then the Standard Cerebral Accelerator for +3 all stats for days 15-35...

How many skill points would he end up with at the end of day 35?

And, is that the best you can do? Or does a new character get some other bonus as well?

I am asking because I am looking at the difference in cost in plexing a second characters ability to train and those implants and the time it would take to get to a certain point vice the cost of buying a new character that already has the skills.

Regardless of what skills, how many SP?

(Unless there is some calculator out there that will tell you this? But I know EVEMON only goes to +5)

SP / minute = 1 * Primary stat + 0.5 * Secondary stat

The rest is left as an exercise to the reader.

So,

Best split is 27/21 with character with no implants.

That's a base of: 37.5 SP/min

Using the Advanced, giving you +17 for 7 days bumps you to 44/38, or 63SP/min.

Assuming you train Cybernetics I first and need 750, that's 11.9 min for it. Then you add in +3's and now you are at 47/41 or 67.5 SP/min for first 7 days.

So in 7 days you get 679590 SP.

Then you drop down to +9's for the next 7 days. That puts you at 39/33 or 55.5SP/min.

So at day 14 you would get another 559440 and be at 1,239,030

Now you drop down to the +3's for days 15-35, which puts you at 33/27 or 46.5

So by day 36 you get another 1,339,200 or total of 2,578,230

If you did the +9s only, then it would be 1,118,214 for first 14 days and then total of 2,457,414

And now does this matter.

SP isn't an I win system where more = better.

Well, it matters to me because I want to see what the cost would be to train up a second character (while still training my first) vice buying one off the market.

It might matter to others who want to have an idea of how many SP they can get in that first month (as compared to the 1,890,000 they would get in the same 35 days with no implants or boosters).

And yes, SP is an I Win system where more is better up to the point that it lets you fly the ship you need, or have the skills you need, to accomplish your goals in game.

The nice thing about Eve is there is a point where, for a specific ship and fitting, there isn't more to train on it, but till that point, more is better by far when compared with not about to fly/trade/manufacture/whatever an individuals goal might be.

As an example:

Perfect trading skills is 9,472,000 SP (for all 14 skills to V). So if I wanted a character with perfect trade skills, that would be:

35 days for the 2,457,414, and then another 115 days for the remainder (figuring after 35 days skills are +3's only).

So roughly 150 days or 5 months.

So now I know the timeframe and cost (whether a monthly sub or plex per month) and can compare that to the costs people are asking on the market for a similarly equipped character.

Yeah. I see your point in that.

Just keep in mind that amount of SP doesn't only make the price of a character.
It also depends on which skills, how much they cost, how they are focused and supply and demand.

So likely a character that pure PvP skilled and another character with exact amount of SP in industry...the PvP player will be more expensive.

Same with skillbook prices. 1mil SP in a skill that cost 500k on the market vs 1mil SP in a skill that costs 450mil on the market equals in a different price asked for the character.

You would train all the Trade skills to 5?

I see very little return in training Tycoon to 5, likewise in Visibility and Marketing 5.

My trade-oriented alt has Accounting and Broker Relations at 5 (of course), Tycoon 3 (Wholesale 4 wasn't enough orders, by the time you train Wholesale 5, Tycoon 3 is basically free), and most of the order range things at 4.

The big thing with a trade alt is getting standings to lower broker fees further; that's something that cannot be done with just SP and is very, very expensive to pay someone else to do for you. Whenever this character needs to rebuild sec status after one too many highsec ganks, I fleet up with the trade alt, run missions, and share the mission rewards including standings bonus with the trade alt.

I support the New Order and CODE. alliance. www.minerbumping.com

Very true. And trade alts with standings are hardly ever for sale. Know cause been looking for ages.

Reopen the EVE gate so we can invade Serenity. Goons can go first.

Because most characters for sale are just skilled up for the sale. They arent used.
