Without stuff being blown up, and without people blowing stuff up, the demand for new hardware would plummet, and the economy would grind to a halt.

While it sucks to lose stuff, that's life in New Eden due to the hypercapitalistic, conflict fueled society that we all live in.

My best advice as an 11 year veteran of EVE?

Learn to shoot back.

+10000000000000000 to the above quote

I totally agree with what CCP Falcon is saying.Big smile

This is a sandbox Game OP.

EvE is working as intended

And remember to SHOOT back as I did when someone tried to gank my mining barge when I was in a Ice belt in minmatar space.

But I won that fight he ran like a little ***** back to the system he came from and that was in my early days of playing EvE.

BTW CCP Falcon can I shoot you one day in a fight one on one and do not use dev hacks.Big smileP

When you log on to eve you are logging in to a virtual world called New Eden. It's not a nice place, unjust things happen.

Pro Tip 1: Learn to use your d-scan.

Pro Tip 2: Slip over the border into Low Sec when War Decced. High Sec war deccers will not want to risk their precious officer mods by following you into a region where they too can get attacked and killed by anyone without warning.

Pro Tip 3: Use D-scan and get used to moving about in Low Sec. There's better rewards and less people about, the risk/reward balance is better though far from perfect.

Pro Tip 4: Assume that absolutely everyone is your enemy even people you fly with.

There's nothing elitist about New Eden, actually it's the opposite as everyone is in constant competition with everyone else, hence my reason for saying it's a virtual world, where consequences follow from every action you undertake.

Dumbing down of Eve Online will result in it's destruction...

OP A while back A mate of mine got podded by some nub.

I didn't say sorry to my mate. I did however explain where he went wrong and he has not lost a pod since.

However they pissed me off so with 1.5 mill sp on this char I......

Dropped roles and create a corp.

I dec'd the corp who had the guy that podded my mate.

They joined a alliance so I decd them aswell.

I then add all 400 plus chars to my watch list and hunted the little buggers.

It was terribly satisfying doing 500 mill plus damage to them.

Don't whine and cry and get upset you lost a ship.

Learn by your mistakes.
Learn how to fight.
Learn how to fit a pvp ship

Go kick there arses on your terms Big smile

Then sit back and wait for emails calling you every name under the sun. There quite funny tbh Lol

Quoting "you will die" in EvE is fail Chars dont die in EvE. Unless you have a heart attack eek.

There are three ways to deal with a wardec.

1) Use the corp-drop-reform exploit. If you do this, I will add you to my 'suicide gank on sight' list. People that use exploits to avoid fights are a cancer and CCP really needs to declare this an exploit again so that cheats can be removed.

2) Cry and engage in bad forum PVP

3) Fight back.

If you have numbers, find where your enemies are based, and camp the station with a drone assist/instalock fleet and whelp them from medium to long range. If you do not have numbers, fit obnoxious EWAR that noone enjoys fighting, and ruin their day.

There are no wardecs in lowsec, nullsec or wh space.

Also, the reason you get wardecced is because of threads like these and the fact that YOU actually loose ships due to a wardec.

Sage advice indeed (as youd expect from a blue)

My advice is learn to duck - both are valid, and trust me, duckings way more useful while bobbing in and out of lowsec

Wardecs make difference in low sec. Allows you to use frigates and interceptors to tacle people on gates. And surprisingly a lot of low sec dwellers forget that and are not prepared for it sometimes.

I would increase NPC tax rate a LOT but based on character age. Example. Your tax start at 0 and increase by 10% per month. Up to something like 50%.

When you create a corp, the startign minimal tax (Taht does nto go to the corp wallet) be around 25%. And htat tax reduced by 1% per member in the corp.

Not really. People play the game certain ways because that is the gameplay that appeals to them. This idea that you can force people to play differently and they're going to be happier for it is pretty half baked and ridiculous in a ame like EVE that presents you with near infinite ways to play when you're logged in.

I mean, you are literally saying "this game has infinite approaches to gameplay and having been presented with this wealth of options people have chosen wrongly and I want to force them to play differently because they will have more fun!". That's ridiculous.

TL;DR - maybe you should take up mining mate, you'd be happier.

Sure you cannot be sure they wil be happier. But you can be sure they will not have the CHANCE to be happier if they never are exposed to it.

If they dislike they are always free to go back to NPC corp with high tax. If you decide to live ain an isoalted wrold, the tax itself does nto matter. Since you do not iterat with other peopel the more or less money is just an illusion. Because no one else is more or less rich than you sicne they do not exist for you.

4 pages... well done.

I'm looking at OP corp history and kill board and can't for the life of me think about what this dude has been doing for the last 8 months. Ship spinning? No pvp, only a 0.9 sec status so not ratting. Trade and industry? Seems fishy to me.

I don't think an April 2013 character is too young to be in a BS. Fit was not the worst I've seen. But not great either. No rigs and derping around during a war-dec. Hmm... insurance fraud perhaps?

Mining is pretty nice, though I have to pay 5% tax to my goon overlords

High Sec pvp'ers should really not waste this isk on war-decs. Simply go on into Null fly around abit, maybe even shoot someone. There will be a fight shortly. Easy as pie. Unless bangin the backend of a mission fit ship is your gig. If it is, I'm sorry. Really.

Why do that when the prey is better in high?

If I'm going to get on a 2.5 billion ISK killmail, I'd rather it be me soloing an incursion ship and getting all the loot drops rather than me and six mates jumping an Archon and sharing the much less impressive loot drops.
