6 months into eve I recall my corp at the time joined frege and moved to the new drone regions that were opened. Had lots of fun being a nublet ratting in my brutix till I saved up enough isk to buy a domi towhich I lost in l4x to a burn eden gate camp.
At the end of the game both the pawn and the Queen go in the same box.

I had RL friends start playing EvE in 2003. It did not look very exciting to me (probably because they were mining). Later I decided to try it. I officially started in EvE in late 2005 (EvE was my first MMO), so 6 months later it was early 2006.

I had started a corp (Pinnacle Sun Industries), living in The Forge in the Inaya system, having a good time with a great group of pilots, PvPing in low/null sec, banded together with other corps living in Inaya against macro and sweat shop miners, developed strategies to run them out of the system by bumping and other tactics. Tried every possible activity in game minus black hat professions.

Three months later we were living in null, corp tore in half between those who didn't want to go to null sec and those who did, The Big Blue was under assault by that big mercenary group (I forget their name), our supply route was cut off, so we merged with another corporation in our alliance to survive. They had capitals, so we could jump our junk into our home system.

6 months from now... so mid 2014. Hmm. Good question... I'll probably have scouted out and setup a 3rd base in a distant part of the galaxy from my 1st and 2nd bases. I'm feeling like a change. Will probably join a corp with other players... as I lack companionship. All of my old friends don't play anymore.

I really need variety and various activities to keep from getting bored. If I get bored again I'll probably unsubscribe. If I get frustrated with the development of the game again I may unsubscribe. Hopefully I am having fun and still feel positive.

Just out of curiosity what were people doing after 6 months playing EVE (assuming you can remember)

And where do you think you'll be in 6 months now?

1) C4 Wormhole, didn't see hi-sec at all for several months at a time
2) Don't know. I'll see when I get there.

I woke up five months into the game to find that I was the CEO of the corp I was in at the time, the previous CEO had resigned in a fit of temper and the others thought I was a decent compromise.

Mostly, it was great, we were pretty much all new players, trying to understand Eve Online together.

First war dec, we hid in the station, second one, we went out and had a go, as useless as we were, it just seemed better than letting some one else stop us from doing anything.

The part I hated, on a purely personal level, was that a couple of corpies, the ex CEO for example, would want to have private convo's and, well, cry and *****.

I always have great respect for any CEO, it can be very hard work trying to keep corpies happy.

Real life then got on the way for four years, came back to a game I could hardly recognize in many ways, but still here learning the ropes.

Edit - pretty sure I will try to join a pvp corp, just for the hell of it really.

I also intend to try exploration, the reason I started playing Eve in the first place.

I have all exploration skills to V and have never, ever tried exploration in any way shape or form. Daft really.

Six months into Eve, I was in Providence with CVA. Joined them six weeks after starting out in Eve, and spent about a year with them.

Protect me from knowing what I don't need to know. Protect me from even knowing that there are things to know that I don't know. Protect me from knowing that I decided not to know about the things that I decided not to know about. Amen.

there have been a couple times when I resubbed and was surprised to find incredible new features. Notably:

  • (Trinity? not sure) - choose between EVE's classic sexy graphics or new, higher poly, higher res texture graphics
  • ? - new character portraits!
  • Apocrypha - HOW many new systems?
  • new scanning system (apocrypha?) I can scan things down in minutes or seconds now!? CLOAKED?
  • Retribution - my first experience of TiDi maybe? IDR if that was before Apocrypha. Nice new Crimewatch mechanics made pvp fun.

defending our POS from 'I.R.O.N' in my scorpion I had to nerve-wrackingly pilot up from http://evemaps.dotlan.net/system/Aunenen to http://evemaps.dotlan.net/map/Pure_Blind/X47L-Q by making sure I clicked the correct bookmark (out of 8 or 9) to make sure I landed on the gate @ zero :D

DO NOT MISS Warp to 15 one bit.

IRON, now THAT is a name I haven't heard in a long long long time. I remember the 1st time seeing the name and wondering "isn't an "Imperial Republic" kind of impossible?". lol

6 Month ago I was planning a long term scam

In 6 Month I expect to be filthy rich

Just kidding :) I was in Highsec producing stuff with minerals I bought 2 years ago, having a nice profit. In 6 Month I'll try to be a decent FW Fleet Commander.

I'd just grown out of my carebear days and was starting to look for fights in lowsec. It was about the time I decided to get involved with the great folks at www.minerbumping.com as well.

I support the New Order and CODE. alliance. www.minerbumping.com
