Don't try to make this my problem....on one hand you said poorly formatted, etc., text can be ignored, regardless of salient points. While on the other hand you said it was worth reading if it had an interesting observation or point.

Obstinate much?

Successful troll is successful. I wish I could get multiple replies about using line breaks more effectively lol.

Dear Jitajane,

I applaud your OP (seriously). It was a joy to read and you are so truly right. Thank you for explaining in such clear words such a basic and fundamental law of commerce. It lifted the veil from my eyes and I am sure of many others less educated^^.

I am also a little amused that people are still debating the quality of my prose. If I were grumpier I would blame texting and twitter (let's conjugate shall me? Twit Tweet Twa,,,,,). That 1/2 a dozen paragraphs is somehow considered a heroic feat. But I am not the sort to blame. I'll instead translated such complaints for the general public:
"I have no good response to anything Jane said so I will instead post about my subjective aesthetic opinions so as not to have my own ill-thought opinions publicly destroyed"

As to the rest of the complaints that this is a game and it should be played for fun and isk is not the point. I agree absolutely. I just found it a little odd that the same people who feel that isk is not the point were often enough the ones complaining that there was too much isk in high sec. So I decided to poke a little fun at you. And looking at the volume of posts while I was asleep it seems to have worked. I'm going to go make coffee now.

dear OP, my corp has a small if laughable tax, and what little isk the corp walet colects is used to fund wars and to buy corp logis for all to use. Our CEO follow vote on what we should do next with our time and dosent consider himself better than any one else in corp except fhes the por soul who has to do the paper work at the end of the day.

Your argument is short sighted and silly, even tho I do agree there is allot of alainces and corps that operate as you describe.

Ok
Flank steak- It has been a lot of years since I did a term paper for money but I was $20 a page (90s money) with a 50% discount upon receipt of less than a B+. Bought a lot of beer like that.

Meestah- cummings was the one who forgot capitalization I somehow lost indentation (damn forums). Actually I was trying more for Liard who wrote 'The Boomer Bible' perhaps my favorite contemporary satires. I highly recommend him. Of course he had line breaks every dozen words which would drive the forums batshit.

Gazmin- You got into a good corp. Congratulations that is one of the most important things in this game. As such by my definitions you would not be considered a peasant at all. Realize you have it good and that a lot of people are peasants and don't even realize it. They were my primary intended audience.

i know

And Hemingway is still considered to be miserable prose, Thompson flat out didn't give a ****, and if you ever read through Naked Lunch, you'd wonder how the author ever got it published.

Teh poynt beeing, teh content iz of most impotence.

Why not? You're the one who didn't understand it.

No. I said that poorly written and treated text will be ignored.
Quote:

No, I said that the examples you offered were both interesting and well-written.

…and you really shouldn't try such exercises at this point since that will apparently just provide further illustration of your lacking language skills, much like the ones you included here.

But that's just it: it's one paragraph, poorly formatted and with numerous pretty grave errors. You thus fail to communicate your rather erroneous point. One rather gets the feeling that you didn't really want to discuss it…

Ah that is an ancient format called paragraphs. Sorry if my anachronism confused you.

indentation at the start of a paragraph

do you know how to do it?

All automated intel should be removed from the game including Instant local/jumps/kills/cynos for all systems/regions.Eve should report nothing like this to the client/3rd party software.Intel should not be force fed to players. Player skill and iniative should be the sources of intel.

I generally don't care about the formatting of posts in general but is there a particular reason you don't just take thirty seconds and reformat it with line breaks so the content of your post can be discussed without perfectly reasonable criticisms regarding formatting?

If you think you have something relevant to say, there's no reason to hinder yourself by failing to take rational critiques into account. Some minor alterations would make your point much more clear.

I too would like to have an in depth discussion of space peasantry and banditry and find that your refusal to edit the OP is standing in the way of such an illuminating discussion. May you please rectify the issue?

Very well put, and a pleasure to read.

I might not agree with some of your analogies, and would personally have tread a little lighter (or, less antagonizing), but I share your point of view.

@OP:

You earn your ISK ingame an talk about maximizing net profit? How much ISK do you make per hour? Do you have a job IRL? Have you ever heard about PLEX and RMT?

Are you spending your ISK on exotic internet dancers or are you selling it on eBay for real money?

Actually, forget RMT. The most profitable way to play this game is not to play it.

So, if 0.0 dwellers are bandits and peasants (I like this analogy and have to agree with you there), then what are you? I'd call you a hamster.

The OP's words surely cut deeply with some of you.

Perhaps, in your hearts is a deep echoing shame. The fact that even in a sandbox, where opportunity is limitless, where reality is only bounded by your imagination.

You chose to be a taxed and abused vassal.

Pathetic.
