Power of 2 offer help

Great offer to pay with PLEX for 6 months time.....or is it? Got the following as part of a registration mail.

Your account has 180 remaining days of game time--you will be
automatically billed for EUR 71.70 (6 Month EVE Subscription) when those
180 days are finished. You can change your subscription interval
anytime. Available intervals are 1, 3, 6 and 12 months.

Did I miss some fine print?

I wanted to pay with PLEX for the power of 2 character like I do with the main yet there's no option to set PLEX as a payment method on the account management pages (that I noticed).

Help?

Assuming I've understood you correctly...

This is how you use plex to add game time to your account;

You buy the plex (either ingame for isk , or outside via CCP's website) If you bought your plex ingame for isk it will be in your hanger and then you only have to right click it and select add the time to your account.

If you bought the plex for real money then it's slightly more complicated. You have to redeem the plex via the log-on screen, it will show as a wrapped box on the right of the screeen. Once redeemed you right click the plex and select add game time etc.

There is no option to add plex via the account management page as it's done ingame.

Hi, thanks for the reply...

My concern is the part that says "you will be automatically billed after 6 months" and then there is no option in the billing payment options to change that to payment by PLEX.

I dont want to get hit with a fee 6 months down the line if I don't PLEX that character in time or whatever.

You can always cancel the alt account which would essentially stop any recurring payments. Then Plex it down the road.

When buying a subscription, your account is automaticly set up to bill you when your time runs out.

If you wish to use PLEX, this should not affect you, as you can apply the PLEX at any time to add 30 days of gametime to the account, and thus, it should never run out of time.

You can at any time go to Account Management Page and cancel recurring payments. Simply select "Game Time", click on the "cancel subscription" option and follow the instructions given.

Your account will still remain active as long as you have game time on it, and you will still be able to add additional PLEX's and time codes.

However regarding the cancel subscription you suggest, there is actually no option to cancel anywhere in the account management pages.

Under Game Time there are 5 options > Add game time , Activate Code, ETC resellers, Get free trial, and Buy Eve online.

I am wondering if this is because it was a power of 2 account activated by 3 PLEX or not. Whatever the case I'm going to have to submit a petition I think to make sure I won't get charged at some later stage if I forget to PLEX the account, because the account management won't let me change my preferred payment from the automated choice.

IIRC, You can't kill off your sub until you have 30 days of sub time or less.
