Are there any guides on this? I have heard that the common guides won't work for gallente, as the ships we fact jam. So how would one go about it?

1. Fit ECCM.
2. Get jammed multiple times in a row anyway.
3. Grit your teeth and do it anyway.
4. Realize that unlike other factions, the mission rats we face can actually still hit you out at sniping ranges.
5. Realize that unlike other factions that can get away with using stealth bombers, its generally better to use tougher and more expensive ships to run missions as Gallente.
6. Realize that this makes GalMil mission runners even more attractive targets.
7. Rail against mission imbalance in the forums.
8. Realize that this is why Gallente is consistently smaller than other factions and has a lower farmer count on average.

Missions are the same across factions, so guides for other factions work just fine in terms of letting you know what the objectives / etc are. The difference is the use of long range missiles and ECM, which other factions don't have to deal with. CalMil missions have you facing short range ships with ineffective sensor damps, and are therefore a breeze. Amarr missions use TDs and neuts, so are a breeze for long range missile ships as well. Amarr missions have you facing long range guns supported by webs and target painters, and thus rely on tankier boats.

In short, Gallente and Amarr are hardmode when it comes to faction warfare missions.

Okay, but what ship do I need if I want to run missions?

Can't be that hard to run the missions in a sb man.. fit 2 eccms cap booster and an armor repper to rep the dps.

When i run missions againts gal i don't even bother fitting sebos . Ab med shield booster thermal resist cap booster resist rigs and presto. Orbit target at 5k shoot and rep , easy.

Never tried gal fw missions but I have to confirm that the imbalance is horrible.
Actually I did a lot of fw missions for amarr, cal and minmatar.
Amarr were the hardest (minnie rats that can alpha (!!!) a bomber at 62km), caldari were okay (just fit enough sensor boosters) and minmatar was so easy (amarr rats use td vs bomber plus horrible tracking) that it is really a joke.
Think CCP was stoned when they balanced this out.

Before rats swapped targets i used to tank them in a nano shield nemesis with overtanked kin/therm. This ship orbited at 160km and was nearly always capable of tanking. Upon triggering a new spawn i would cloak up my alts 700+dps manticore until the tank had agro again.

Now they swap targets i simply run them with my alt in a proteus.

Seriously it cannot be that hard .... IF i was in gal miltia i would and if you struggle enough eventually you would find a fit that works , or at the very least for some of the lvl 4's

SBs don't work that well from what I've seen, though I've not tried a Manticore yet myself. There's enough frigates and cruisers on the field, or missile batteries depending on the mission, to make the incoming dps problematic from what I've seen. Tengu and Proteus get the job done just fine, but you definitely need 350+ DPS to make it go smoothly, which isn't easy in a covops kitted one. Ishtar would probably do just fine, and if you're running it as a group Nagas make things a breeze.

All of which require more SP, more isk, and are more vulnerable than a stealth bomber.

Oh, and in case you think 2x ECCMs is enough... I usually get jammed at least once per mission, and sometimes 3+ in a row, in a Tengu with 75+ sensor strength.

Seriously, try it. If it wasn't hard, GalMil missions would get farmed just like the other factions. There's a reason they aren't.

Seriously, it is that hard. Should have seen how bad it was before they removed ewar and multiple rats from plexes.

Jams+shooting at drones makes Gallente FW L4 missions pretty tough. Not for your typical cloaky stealth bomber pilot.

alright alright i get it .... well i dunno i just told you guys how i run missions for cal mil , i just normal tank it and orbit close , the sentries the frigs the everything .. tanking it , pretty easy i must say . The me shield booster gives enough boost and with cap boosters i got no cap issues .

But uh , if a 75% sensor strenght tengu gets jammed then clearly .. ecm is op ..
